You won't be clapping when you realize that means the road to the final for the US will have to go through Canada.

I have to say the Swedes deserved the win, we pounded the crap out of them but they kept skating hard and wouldn't be beat down.

I'm looking forward to another great USA/Canada game :D

Crap, here we go again.... well, hopefully it's a great game.

$90 bucks a seat?

I paid about that much when the games were here in Grand Forks total, and I went to about five games.

I was just checking the tickets on-line and you can buy Quarter Final games for $40 in level 300 and all other seats are $75. Not quite as bad as $90, but still a little steep. If you live in Buffalo I highly recommend going, even the level 300 tickets would be pretty exciting.

Unless you get bounced in the semis or quarters before getting bounced by us in the finals. :)

That was for the US-SWISS game. CAN games are probably around there as well (since most of Canada is here watching the games :P ), but the relegation games can be had for under $10. The medal rounds I've seen going for a minimum of $168 to $1000 on stubhub. The only way I'd pay $1000 is if I got to sit next to the players and got autographed jersies afterwards. Stupid scalpers.

Maybe there was a happy ending involved, I don't know.

I do know that tomorrow there's going to be some skirmishes along the US-Canada border that could boil over into a full fledged war! Bring your ruckus Canada!

Just like 1980, the gold is going to be anticlimactic. My prediction? PAIN!

Stupid Canada. Stupid US for playing with no heart or skill. Stupid Russians who are going to get rocked by Canada and Stupid Sweden who are going to thrash the US if they don't find where they hid their A-game.

Damn. Canada has a very good team. No shame in losing to them.

True, that was as near as perfect execution by the Canadian squad as you could ever hope for. Positionally they were on their A game. Add to that the fact they had the extra effort it made that game look more lopsided then I could have dreamed.
