My daughter just asked what the significance of 42 was.

I immediately thought of Cleffed.

She was with me on a road trip the night we drank a Guinness toast to Cleffed so I was able to explain the significance to the fans of the series and the significance to all of us who were privileged enough to know Cleffed here in the tank.

So I still have the Guinness bottle from the first toast we did for CleffedUp last June, the same one from the picture collage that SC put together of all of us that submitted pics. It's been on a shelf in my kitchen since then.

I was looking at the Guinness logo and something caught my eye... the year that the Guinness brewery was founded is 1759 and the numbers 17 and 59 are separated by a harp (or something). I've always had a habit of sorts of playing with numbers I see and I noted 2 things about this arrangement. One is that 59 was my jersey number when I played football and the last year I played was my senior year in HS, I was 17. Rimshot at best...

But the other thing I noticed, which I found to be much more fitting for Sean's favorite beer:

17 (separated) from 59 is .... 42!

It was on every bottle he ever drank.

42 seconds passed between questionable FCFS waiver transactions in the IBL league, I couldn't help but think of Cleffed and how much Cleffed would have brought to that league.

And opening 4/12...



I probably won't make it opening weekend, but really looking forward to this movie.
One of my favorites players of all time.
