Last poll of the hockey playoffs. Who do ya like? I'm gonna hold off on voting until I learn a little more about Vancouver first, but will get a pick in before Game 1.

I believe in patterns. In the first series the Canucks won in 7, the next in 6 and the last in 5, so they will win the final in 4.

But my gut says Canucks in 6.

I sure hope not. I'm hoping for Game 7, with each game ending in OT :thumbright:

I'm going to go with Canucks in 6 for no real reason. I haven't really seen them play, so I don't have much of an idea of how dominant they are. Boston did look tired in game 7, so while they should be recovered I wonder if they will be able to stick through an entire series.

I'll take Boston with the "upset" in 7 games. Vancouver is a great team, and my brain says they will win, but I want Boston to win, and I think they can do it.

Thomas will have to step up, he is going get be peppered.

Ok, so I've heard all about the Wonder Twins, and Kesler and Luongo, and even the local sports media here doesn't seem to give the Bruins too much of a fighting chance. But I'd be a pretty lousy fan if I picked the opposing team, so we'll go B's in 7, and hope they show more consistency than they did during the regular season. I think on paper Vancouver shows more talent, but I'm also hoping that Seguin ends up being the wildcard and lives up to the potential that made him a #2 pick overall last year.

The ref's are ruining this game! Let's hope this doesn't continue through out the series.

The calls are bad both ways, 13 penalties in 2 periods? Give me a break.

After the Burrows goalie interference penalty the play-play commentator had this to say "you have to be looking to call a penalty to make that call".

The goalies are earning their dough tonight.

Wow! Vancouver just NAILED the iron, very close to a goal!

Great play by Kesler. 18 seconds left in regulation.

Game 1 to Vancouver!

It sure was, if you watch the slow-mo you see him drag the toe on his trailing leg just enough not to go offside. You can see his whole focus is on the puck. Sweet play.

Hate to admit it, but I missed the ending. Fell asleep with around 9 minutes to go in the game. My month of hell at work began on Tuesday and there will probably be a lot of early bedtimes and lack of posting here. From what I did see though, it was a very chippy game. There's no natural rivalry here, but they seemed to really despise each other. Goaltenders were absolutely lights out, so it's a shame somebody had to lose like that. Burrows is a douche. Hope game 2 is just as intense.

Forgot there was a hockey forum.....

Missed the poll but I'm going to sink or swim with my team the B's. Great game last night on both ends I was disappointed that it didn't go to overtime....Boychek's decision making once again proved to be fatal....great play by Kessler but he shouldn't have been able to make that play like that and Boychek took himself right out of it....

The Bruins looked a little fatigued toward the end of the game...I'm hoping that isn't indicative of how the rest of the series is going to go
