Apr 17 Sizemore returned to the Indians' lineup Sunday and went 2-for-4 with a solo home run.

Recommendation: Sizemore hit leadoff in his season debut, which provides a nice boost to his fantasy value. Its a bit of an unknown just how he will respond at the plate after being out for so long, but the upside justifies a pickup if he happens to be available in your league.

2/4...double...HR...AND a steal. It's also noted he hit .353/.450/.647 with one home run during his five-game rehab assignment. If you own Grady, do you deal him? What would you give up to get him? We're talking about a guy 3yrs removed from a consensus top 24 fantasy pick...and a guy with 4 straight 20/20 seasons and a 30/30 season in 2008

I got him for a buck at the end of my auction when everyone was like "oh yeah, that guy... used to be good, right?"

Gonna ride on those swiss cheese knees as far as they'll take me.

find the owner in your league who had him in '07 or '08.
That guy has a weakness for Grady.

Offer him for a top 20 OF or an upgrade somewhere else.

Sizemore's not a winning lottery ticket, but he can definitely be a "win a free ticket" ticket.

It boggles my mind to hear anyone down on Grady here in the Cleveland market. Yet..numerous asshats have called into the lame sports talk shows complaining we should dump him. These people are as ignorant as they come. Sizemore is an all star caliber player. He's got all the tools and is invaluable to a team. Ill take a dozen just like him for my team...any time.

Are people really that stupid playing fantasy baseball these days? Yah, he used to be good..he was injured..injuries happen..wth? what a joke.

The problem with him is that he has two legs and no knees. Grady really hasn't had an above average season since when, 2008? I don't think the Tribe could deal him if they wanted to, and I don't mean it as an insult to Grady. I like the guy, a lot. But there is a distinct possibility that his best days are behind him...

Any local talk about when Chisenhall will be called up?

Before Hanrahan started hitting, early June. Now? Not so sure, as long as Hanrahan is hitting Chiz stays down but Hanrahan's problems vs. righties may still get Chiz called in early June.

Pulled himself from the game running on the base paths on a 1st inning double, looked like the balky knee acted up again. Expect a move to the DL tomorrow

It's official:

Quote:
Indians placed OF Grady Sizemore on the 15-day disabled list with a right knee contusion.

Sizemore left Sunday's game in the first inning with the injury. He missed a little more than two weeks in May with the same ailment. Sizemore traveled back to Cleveland after Sunday's game to undergo additional testing on his right knee. Results of that exam haven't yet been released.

Quote:
Grady Sizemore underwent abdominal surgery Thursday in Philadelphia to repair a sports hernia.

Well, that's a surprise. Sizemore is expected to be sidelined for 4-6 weeks following the surgery. The Indians projected that he would likely have to miss four weeks with his knee injury anyway, so they felt it made sense to address the hernia issue at this particular time. He's far from a sure thing the rest of the way, so look for the Indians to step up their efforts to land an outfielder before the trade deadline.
