"After what the Chiefs did to Tebow, the Lions must be licking their chops. '

The Chiefs play in Miami now? Just when you thought you knew the NFL... :Drink)

The weekly projections have been pretty bizarre this year.

This just gets funnier; the guy who does the start/bench list and the guy who does the projections need to sit down and talk lol.

Dwayne Bowe - projected #5 WR this week.

Dwayne Bowe - bench him this week.

LMAO!!!!!!!!

***there's an odd Chief theme going on here lol

An obvious case of too many Chiefs and not enough Indians going on here.

well they are two different contributors who do the bench/start and the projections... i find that the bench/start is often more accurate though i guess it is pretty difficult and mind-numbing to sit down and do all the player projections

I always thought "Start/Bench" lists were pointless anyways. I can tell you to bench Dwayne Bowe because I think he is going to have a bad game, but where you would actually rank him is much more important. Bowe might typically be around #12 overall (this is just an example, so don't worry so much about the numbers) & you might have him projected at about #20 this week, meaning he falls well below his norm; but, I STILL might not have a better option that is above him in the rankings, so for my team, he might be a start. In other words, it is all relative to who you have & how low you actually drop a guy with a bad matchup. Just to throw out a generic "Start/Bench" list is really hard to do without a weekly rankings list to go along with it.

The Chiefs did absolutely nothing to Tebow last week, and he still barely performed for most of the game! They weren't even in the same town! Now imagine how good the Lions will do, just by showing up at the same stadium!

If you're confused, just recall that the Dolphins do not have a defense. So every week they plug in a Fantasy Waiver Wire D into their computers and hope for the best.

I believe that the projections are done by several people. Work is split up by division so sometimes you will have two different writers projecting opposing teams in a game. I'm sure there are conflicting statements sometimes as a result.

I'd be interested in hearing how they go about making the projections, both from a reliability perspective, and out of curiosity.

It's actually a brilliant strategy.

Cover all the bases and you're never wrong.

Let's face it, most of us are savvy enough to not come here for projections/estimates.

We come here for the banter and shark-shark advice, and the extremely nifty Targets Report tool.

Sharks was one of the worst sites last year.
