:party-smiley-050: Congrats to New Orleans for winning our 2011 Superbowl! :party-smiley-050:

I'm going to send the league into the off-season today...locking all of the teams from adding/dropping and also re-opening the trade window.

While this season won't go down in the books as one of the cleanest, it certainly was one of the most interesting. Thanks everybody for keeping with it and I promise to work out the kinks for next year.

Be on the lookout for payouts coming from the NFL Challenge Bank.

Mike

The following Polls have been created on the site. Please log in one more time before hibernation and vote on the league polls. I'll start a new thread but wanted to get the attention of anyone who has this one bookmarked.

Polls:

Should we abolish the Keeper Settings and revert to a redraft in 2013?

Should players lock at their respective game's kickoff (e.g. players available after Thursday night)

Should we add an additional IR spot?

Should we force teams to keep a "homer" player (starting in 2013)?

If we don't force a "homer" keeper, should we revert to 3 keepers (starting in 2013)?

Those were the "hot button" topics during the season. If there are any other rule changes, we'll follow the by-laws and I'll ask for the recommendation plus two other teams' endorsements in order to make a poll. The by-laws also state that the polls will remain active for 3 weeks or through June 30 (whichever comes first). As these were pretty hot topics, I'd like to get as much of a consensus as possible so get to voting.

Congrats to the Bills and the Saints for making it to the big dance, and to New Orleans for bringing home the trophy!

So, with the poll questions, I answered yes to both switch to redraft, to keep a homer and to go to 3 keepers as they would all be preferable to what we currently have (you don't have to vote yes for just one). Although I highly doubt any of these will go through.

The one poll question that I see the Broncos have added is the drop round values attached to the keepers. I absolutely need to endorse this one!!! I think this is where we are running into a lot of the issues in terms of balance in the league and manipulation of picks. If we get rid of the round value and just keep our top 4 players that would solve a lot of issues. Above all, this is the one issue that I most strongly feel needs to be changed. Hope you all agree... if it comes down to it, I will bribe people to vote yes!

I hope you're kidding about bribing people. Comments like that are poison and are not welcome in this league. If you think manipulation of the draft system is bad, manipulation of the voting system is worse.

The issue is that people have made moves based on those round values.... so dropping them would suck for those teams.

Yes, but it wouldn't go into effect for over a year. The downside of those round values is much greater than the upside.

And no, I'm not actually bribing people...

Thanks All! Tony Romo did help me out with the trophy, I guess Romo screws up big games in both real games as well as fantasy!
