So I just read about the DLC that comes with the collectors edition, or $10 for everyone else...
wth IS THIS BIOWARE!?!
I will not go so far as to spoil what the content is, except that it is a character. How do you justify this not being included with every single copy of the game!? If you want to know what I am talking about, just look up "From Ashes" on google. This should NOT be DLC, and every fiber of my being wants to not buy this game now just to give Bioware the middle finger for selling out entirely... but I can't... I can't not finish the trilogy.
After this, Bioware can kiss my behind though... this is beyond absurd.
That goes for you Dragon Age III...
You're about two weeks late on the indignation here. The devs have gone through and explained that essentially what happens is the game finishes development but then has a very extensive testing period. It is in that period that the DLC is developed by a different development group. It really is completely additional content, added in after the game was fully completed.
If it's a huge deal just preorder through Amazon. If you're not getting the collector's edition, they give you a $10 credit with your order. Use that to get the DLC.
Besides, they could have released the game before the holidays, as originally planned, with just the single player and done very well. Instead, for the same price, they added a multiplayer portion that is a ton of fun. Again, completely additional to the completed single player game.
Since I was going to buy it either way, that's all just bonus game for the same dollar. I think ME3 will be one of the better release-day purchases because of it.
