This foreign film is so bad rump. It's about the first stage of Genghis Khan's life. Awesome battles. Awesome story. Even a little romance.

Got me reading about Genghis Khan (I already knew he and his kin conquered the world better than any man in history). Game of Thrones fans will note that the Dothraki are basically Mongols - horsebacked nomad warriors. Perhaps the coolest military thing was that he catapulted diseased corpses into cities who had closed their walls to prevent the marauders. Some claim this caused the spread of the plague to Europe. The fact that he was pretty much universally hated outside of Mongolia for hundreds of years makes me like him even more.

It's got me extra excited to go to theatres to see THE RAID - REDEMPTION (an Indonesian film) which some are claiming to be the best action film ever.
