Smells like a sleeper and strategic pickup when you consider the favorable matchups.

- The Jags identity for this game is 'run the ball, stop the run'. Every team to beat Indy this year ran for 90+ and held to -90.
- The Colts are the 29th ranked run defense at 141.1/game. Jags are 2nd ranked rushing attack with 157.8/game.
- Jennings averaging 7.0/ypc and scored in the last three games.
- Will likely see extra carries this week to spell MJD, listed as questionable (knee).

The Jags can clinch the AFC South tomorrow which is significant for MJD owners as he could be rested at home against the Redskins week 16. Washington has the 28th rushing defense and Jennings could benefit. This is the type of situation that creates potential for a 2010 playoff hero. Plus, the No 2 seed in my money league has MJD and I might face him next week in the finals.

same situation. it would be hilarious to pick him up and mjd get injured

he could have some value, it depends on who else is available. i was able to get hightower and torain and i feel like they are safer picks as they are a lock to get a significant amount of carries

It all comes down to MJD - you have him noted as questionable due to a hamstring - I believe only Garrard has a hammy issue so if you saw that somewhere please post source. At that point he would be dealing with a knee and hamstring issue and that would def. increase Jennings likelihood to see more game time.

I'm ready to pick up Jennings as a flex start off the wire if there is any more legitimate news about MJD complications.

MJD is expected to play. I have both he and Jennings and fortunately this is a noon start, so if MJD is inactive, I've got Jennings all set to go - but in all likelyhood, MJD plays in a must-win game like this.

I can't see starting Jennings unless you're really hurting at RB, or maybe if you play a deep flex, not if MJD plays.

Thanks for the correction. MJD is knee only, Garrard is the hammy. No need for MJD concern! - he'll start and carry the load (Have him in a no-money league).

Agree on risk but I'm impressed with Jennings and like his situation/matchup as a sleeper flex for those without a solid option. But as you can see in the sig below I can't decide myself.

If you go QB early, I am fine with Jennings as a RB3.

When MJD decides to play, Jennings is not just going to hit the bench.

He has been that good in OTAs, TC, and preseason. He's earned atleast an opportunity for this to be a legit RBBC.

At 8.03 I'm good with drafting him. I would look at getting him in the 7th and feel good about it. If he jumps up to 5 or something I would pass on him.

I am terrified of him as a rb3 in all but the deepest of leagues.

I know this is a jennings thread, but I just couldn't take my eyes away from you team sig.

Dude that has to be a 4 team league to get that many stud and studish runningbacks and recievers, or the guys you were drafting with are so horribly noobish they wouldn't know how to wipe their own butt without their mommas help.

Back on topic. I passed on jennings in the 8th round for the steeler defense for some ungodly reason. In my mind I was saying jennings, and my mouth said something completly different

I just took him at 8.01 but I have MJD as my rb1 so I need the insurance.

I wouldn't reach for him but m definitely targeting him... He'll be pretty good early on if MHD signs and needs to catch up and most likely MHD will ge hurt at some pt so I see a productive yr from him.
