Is there something I'm not getting? Why is this guy's ADP so low? Anyone else think he's going to blow up?

I don't know but check for Greg Olsen instead. His ADP is probably a lot higher.

He'll be the #2 target for Newton this year and no Shockey to steal plays. He's a 3 down TE now as he does a good enough job blocking, regardless what whiney Bears fans want to say.

I think he can threaten top 5 TE performance this year and at worst is a low TE1.

Last year was a fine example of being a year too early in a bad mid season trade where I picked up Olsen and he didn't get it done. I thought Cam would look for a TE regularly in the red zone and it didn't work out. My guess this year is he is a high end TE2 with TE1 upside now that Shockey is out of the picture. But what do I know?

I think olsen will have a good year, but TE position has great depth, I really can't believe how many potential good TEs there might be this year. You could wait till round 10 to pick one and end up with a combo of olsen and Jared cook, gresham, etc play matchups throughout the year and still have TE1 numbers every week...this would allow you to load up at other positions

He is not enough to get you where you need to be in late December You have already won or lost your league by the time you're even considering this guy come draft day.

Considering you can get him as the 15th TE that's pretty decent...no shockey, it really only leaves Steve smith and lafell as comp for targets and who knows how good or bad lafell will be

Shockey had 4.1 targets/game and 2.5 rec/game in 2011.

Those have to go somewhere.

Olsen and Shockey had 1000 yards and 9 TDs between them. Even if Olsen only picks up half of what Shockey got last year, I am still on board! \:D/

Yep, trading, free agency and the second half of the draft don't matter. Just draft a qb and call it a day.

tolbert and gary barnidge.

olsen might see a slight upward tick in targets, but it won't be much.

tolbert and barnidge factor to play large roles in the offense. panthers will continue to run 2 TE sets about as much as last year and barnidge has a lot of talent so he'll get some, but not as much as shockey last year. tolbert, though, is going to be the big thief here. they have already started lining him up as a WR so you can count on him being a sneaky target that cam goes to somewhat frequently and who they use in a variety of ways.

fwiw, i do see olsen getting into the endzone more and i do see him getting more receptions per target just because of cam improving as a passer. i just don't see him getting any more targets than last year.

Took Olsen last April (pre-trade) in a start-up dyno with the knowledge he'd be a free agent this year and away from Martz. Happy he got away early via the trade but he could've landed in a better situation. I hope rayn is right and he sees the endzone more. Hes more than capable of carrying a bigger receiving load than hes gotten.

I may be drafting backup TE's in my leagues this year, he's one of the targets. High floor and the ceiling is open with Shockey gone and no proven #2 WR. Given all the other weapons on the offense I see Olsen constantly in single coverage in the middle.
