NE backs have always been stay-aways for me. Game plans are unpredictable.

Greene. In a pretty good situation this year w/ LT's departure, regardless of his lack of talent. Think he's a good bet to get a healthy dose of carries this year.

Greene - talent + ground/pound philosophy + Sparano - Tebow = I'll say a shade under 1,100 total yards and 5 TD's
Ridley + talent - Vereen - Brady airing it out + BGJE gone = I'll say say a shade over 1,100 total yards and 7 TD's

So my answer is Ridley

At this point, I think we already know what we have in Greene. I went with Ridley over him based on potential.

I would go with Greene before I went with Ridley. Greene has the better chance of getting more touches with the ball because the Jets don't have near the passing game of the Pats. Needless to say if Greene is off the board then I stick Ridley

I just completed a draft, and I considered it a successful draft, mainly because I made it through 16 rounds without Shonn Greene on my roster. Good draft!

Did I answer your question?

I think everything here is just personal opinion.

You know what your going to get out of Greene

Greene ADP is Mid Fifth round.

Ridley ADP early 7th.

You have to make your own judgement call in a draft. If Greene fell and I could use him as a flex, I would snag him. (Based on work load. Personally I think the Jets are in terrible shape this year)

Ridley could be in for a ton of TD's. NE has some tasty run games/clock killers early on. But here as stated before NE running backs tend to be hands of. The hooded terror and the Shanahanigans will play terror with your lineup.

At this point I have been burned by Greene multiple times. I actually think Ridley has a lot of potential this year. also as mentioned earlier I would snag Ridley after Greene is off the board you will get more out of Ridley by years end for a cheaper price.

If possible, draft both.

Greene will have a shot to be a workhorse. What he does with the chance is uncertain, but he's likely to get 250+ carries. He's probably not a great option, but as a 3rd back, he's not not bad.

It's unlikely Ridley gets nearly as many touches, but he's likely to get more red zone chances and is a decent bet to post double digit TD totals.

I wouldn't mind drafting both guys after I've picked up a couple backs I can feel good about starting right away.

I would have to go with Ridley. Greene may have over a 1,000 yards rushing but will have a low number of Td's.Tebow will vulture most of Greene's rushing Td's this season. Ridley will have around 850 yds rushing with 10+ td's (if he hangs on to the ball). Both have limited potential for receptions.

I am looking at Ridley as a later round flyer, but I wonder if others may do the same and his draft slot goes higher. I HATE New England RBs as Bellichick just seems to mess with fantasy owners every week. But there is a reason I grabbed Ridley late last year in my dynasty league and still have him at the end of the bench as I really think he could surprise.

Greene is probably the smarter pick since you likely know what you will get from him, more of the same. Which is solid, but his upside is limited. Ridley has more upside. If you need the rely on one, Greene is probably the guy. But if you can take a chance on one, I'd go Ridley. I would be be surprised if his numbers were better at the end. But he also has a ton more bust potential.

Ridley. Greene will have TD's poached by Tebow. The Jets will keep the Tebow train going any way possible.

None of the above. Snatchez sucks and limits Greene. Ridley is a failed experiment but does what little mumbles expects of a crappy RB.

Speaking of snatchez whats the odds he goes to so chicks high school prom?

Jets were 15th in redzone opportunities per game last year, and had the second highest percentage of red zone TD's.
