All signs are pointing towards him cracking the top 5 WR group.

* His best seasons 60-70 rec's have been under Josh McDaniel on terrible teams, Rams/Denver, now he has Brady.
* Josh told Belichik to sign Lloyd and Josh got his present.
* NE/Brady historically and consistently improve WR's to have their best years and when they leave they fall back into the abyss , for example, Gaffney, Patterson,Branch, long list....
* Rarely has NE ever gotten a already productive WR and when they did he jumped off the map, ie Moss and Welker
* Lloyd is a lock as the only WR deep threat starting, and in camp Brady and he are connecting big time, see link below.
* There is no concern that Brady likes to spread the ball and TD's around. Brady has thrown 40-50+ TD's the past few years. 2012 Hypothetical TD passes, Gronk 13, Hernandez 7, Welker 6, Misc RB's and wr's 5, This example is generous and about 30td's. There is potentially 10-20 TD's left for "someone" to catch, I'm just saying something to think about.
* Lastly, Lloyd is not injury prone, not a head case and plays hard even on bad teams.

Hey, Lloyd might just be a top 15-20 WR but remember the very high upside.

Ochocinco had the same hype last year. Yeah...

Gronk and Welker are the mouths to feed in NE until proven otherwise.

His ADP is rising to fast. That's a formula for overpaying. He's gone up 10 spots since July 1st.

Currently he's going before other quality WR1s like Steve Johnson, Dwayne Bowe, and Antonio Brown.

No.

You clearly don't watch Patriots games.

Hint: Aaron Hernandez is everything but a Tight End.

How many good years has Lloyd had? Pick a number between 0 and 2.

Gotcha. Just wanted to make sure I was on the same page and I wasn't misinterpreting you.

I don't see him being anything special. If he is the supposed deep threat Brady hasn't had since Moss felt like playing...God help the rest of the league.

Well, except the Giants. They can make them 18-1 again  .

Ochocinco was already washed up when he got to NWE; anyone who watched him in his last season in CIN knows he looked older and slower. Also, reports out of NWE after the ordeal were that he didn't learn the system at all, tryed to "freelance" as he did for most of his career in CIN. Lloyd won't have that problem.

I think I'm already pretty infamous for arguing for Lloyd, so I'll refrain from getting into it; I think you already covered most of the points I would've brought up myself. Just want to throw the old QBs out there: Tim Rattay, Alex Smith, 40 yr old Mark Brunell, Kyle Orton --> Tom Brady

I think your expectations of a top 15-20 WR with tremendous upside are perfectly reasonable

Viva la McDaniel reunion :Drink)

I am convinced that a good passing team can at most have only 2 really good receivers. There is Gronkowski and there is Welker. In order for Lloyd to possibly finish in the top 5 it would have to deeply cut into their production on the team unless Brady can somehow throw for 7,500 to 10,000 yards.

THIS.
3 at most in modern passing games.

People are saying Welker, Gronkowski, Hernandez, and now Lloyd are going to all be Top 20 receivers.

Someone is lying.

Well, this may just be my opinion but Hernandez is good but I wouldn't exactly call him elite. There is only 2 elite TE's in my book right now. Like wise same thing goes for the Packers or Saints - there is 2 receivers that really carry the team and make the plays.

Agreed. Too many weapons...not enough targets. Don't over pay
