Second Tier Running Backs

The second tier RB's (after Foster/McCoy/Rice) seem to all have question marks for this upcoming year. How would you guys rank them and why?

MJD (holdout)
CJ2K (rebound?)
Ryan Matthews (injuries)
Lynch (repeat?)
Forte (lack of TDs, Michael Bush)
Murray (unproven)
Charles (ACL)
AP (ACL)
McFadden (injury history)

In my personal situation, I am in a keeper league and will be taking Foster with my first selection. I am wondering if I should try and pair him with another RB or with a top WR. My holdover is Jordy Nelson as a 14th rounder.

Thanks

MJD might be at the top for me if not for the holdout situation; doesn't seem like he has any leverage. Also McFadden vs Murray was a difficult one for me, but I went with McFadden's upside even though his injury risk is high.

Finally, AP is at the bottom of my list b/c he's simply to soon from his ACL; it'll be inhuman and a great story if he somehow pulls it off, I'm not gonna bet on it though. Charles is next b/c of his own ACL combined w/ the presence of Hillis.

At the moment, this order for me

MJD - most reliable of the bunch assuming he doesn't miss time
CJ2K - I buy a strong bounce back but still some questions
Matthews - Health is only hold back, but love the situation
McFadden - see above but add more reservations with health
Lynch - Better QB play will help, but do I buy a 100 yd 1 td a game back...not truly
Forte - Get the sense he'll be less featured to keep more fresh and maximized
Murray - health is issue but like the situation
AP - so many questions with health but love the upside
Charles - see above

The 2nd tier is Mathews and CJ2K and then a big drop off to tier 3 IMO.

I agree with this. Although if MJD's holdout ends, I'd bump him up to this tier as well.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I chose to keep Murray over Charles because of the ACL and Hillis. I pick 6th and am thinking of a RB or a top WR. Leaning towards RB but there are so many ?s from this list. Depends on what WRs are available when I pick. If I could swing Charles and then Hillis though.... :-k

As of now:

Foster
Rice
McCoy

CJ2K
MJD
Mathews

Forte
DMC
Murray
T.Richardson
Lynch
Charles

EDIT: Moved Murray up to just below DMC. Like his situation better then the other 3. AP is in the next tier.

Good call, I was only ranking the guys listed, but I'd def. take TRich in the middle of that pack too

CJ2K- Head and shoulders above the rest of this group. Just doesn't belong with tier 1.

Forte
DMC
Murray
SJax
Charles

So on so forth. I'll pass on ranking MJD, Mathews and Richardson. ](*,)

I am hoping he now drops to me in the late first. I am not passing him up if he is there. The broken clavicle really pisses me off as I am targeting him in a lot of drafts (Luckily they haven't happened). I still think though if he takes a hit to his ADP, i will be happy to scoop him. However, If MJD shows up, he will definitely jump ahead of Matthews. I think early buzz already had CJ2K surpassing him. I would love to go Matthews/Murray or Matthews/DMC first two rounds.

Too many people are sleeping on Charles. There's just no reason to be comparing his situation to AP's -- four months seperated their injuries (which is huge) and Charles is almost two years younger. With the recent injury to Matthews, I think Charles moves up to the 7th RB (soon to be 6th if MJD doesn't report in the next week or two). My current list sits something like this:

Foster
Rice
McCoy
CJ
Forte
MJD* (pending holdout and could move up or down)
Charles
Steven Jackson (who seemingly everyone is leaving out, but a guy I'd absolutely love in the 3rd round)
Lynch* (pending legal issues, so he could move up or down potentially)
Matthews (throwing him here now, but this was my knee jerk reaction this morning)
McFadden
Murray

Sproles is obviously a wild card depending on your format, but I think after that group, I'd finish picking off any of the top-10 WRs or so before I grabbed guys like Fred Jackson, Turner, Richardson, AP, Bradshaw, Gore...
