I've been doing a lot of PPR mocks at fantasyfootballcalculator at the 11th spot, because that's where I'm drafting in my 12 team PPR league, and I feel like I'm always reaching and never having good value fall to me.

At the end of the first round, any RBs left are a reach, in my eyes no one outside of calvin johnson as a receiver is worth a first round pick. If Tom Brady falls to me there...maybe? Same with Jimmy Graham? I just don't like what's left to me at the 11 spot. Same is true for the 14 spot, since the players left on the board are pretty well the same.

At the 3rd/4th, the upper echelon RBs through Ahmad bradshaw are gone, as are the upper echelon of WRs. I feel like any of the remaining RBs and any of the remaining WRs are a reach here. Not saying they're not worth drafting, just a reach at the end of the 3rd, beginning of the 4th.

Am I hallucinating this, or is the end of the draft really a rough place to be this year? Does anyone have any approaches they've felt good/successful with?

Man my draft is tomorrow and I'm stuck with the 11th spot also. I'm stumped on what to do also.
I've went through different scenarios and I can't find one I like. I'm thinking of going RB RB WR WR,,and hopefully get Ryan in the 5th but I don't know if I can get him their and if I miss on a qb it could hurt

I'm in the same boat as you, drafting at 11 in 12 team ppr. I've been going RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/QB in mocks and have started to like my teams.

WR is so deep this year, so I feel as if RB/RB is a solid start. What I have seen is, @ 11, you have a pretty good RB core by starting with 2, while the others are chasing their RB2 in rounds 3 and 4.

Yeah I am at the end of the snake also except its at 10.I have been going RB-RB-WR-WR-QB and like the combo's I am getting.Look for the double dip,wr-qb from the same team so you get value from their td's.A 2 for 1 coupon deal.In my drafts I have gotten Eli and cruz. Not bad at all.I may be a chum here on this site but I have played fantasy since 1999.There is alot you can do to even things up from the late positions.

i have the 12 spot in my 12 league, still have some time to go before the draft but i did some mocks and got success with 3 different approaches. bare in mind this is a ppr

#1 RB,TE,QB(stafford/cam), WR,RB,WR

#2 RB,RB,TE(gates/hernandez),WR,QB,WR

#3 RB,WR, TE(gates/hernandez),RB,QB,WR

there are a bunch of wrs usually available from rounds 5-8 all roughly valued around the same as those in the 4th , so other than nabbing one of the top 10 wrs i would fill other positions and get them in the mid rounds.

using those 3 options i managed to put together 3 very solid teams from the 12 spot

i tried these also but did not get much success as the teams were lacking at other positions

#4 QB,TE,RB,RB,WR,WR
#5 RB,QB,WR,RB,WR,WR
#6 WR,WR,RB,RB,WR,QB

hope this helps good luck

Ok thanks. That's were I took him in one of my drafts but I was thinking I reached on it.
I think I'm gonna roll the dice with AP and Mcfadden...playing with fire!

No, but I've been looking for Pettigrew in 6-7 and then FDavis/JCook in 8-9 with some success

YIKEs...you could end up with starks and joe mcknight(injuries)to AP + Mcfad.Good luck but in hindsight ALL picks are a roll of the dice in the NFL :F

honestly speaking if your willing to gamble on a late TE may as well wait till 10-12 and grab Kyle Rudolph. should be ppr gold in minnesota

That's a good point :thumbright:

TEs seem deep this year as well if you don't want to take Graham/Gronk early
