I'm looking long and hard at taking a flier on Jacquizz and Chris Rainey. Both have great hands and can pound the ball if needed.

You may strike gold with one of these two. Question is which one?

This.

In a (seemingly) high powered offense with a multitude of receiving options to open up the flats and draw plays coupled with being the more productive back on the team on a per touch basis.

Even if you felt Jizz and Rainey were equal in terms of talent and opportunity, you'd have to go with Jizz. He's a second-year player, and Rainey is a rookie.

I don't think you can underestimate what that year of experience can mean to a player.

I think they both have the opportunity. Jacquizz is more hyped than Rainey because of the new ATL movement and a declining Turner.

Rainey has the opportunity as well with Mendy out and he's drawing praise from Big Ben.

Both are special. I think rainey is more explosive and can take it to the house. Quizz is more reliable and in a better situation imo..its already said that quizz will be utilized a lot this year.

You guys really need to stop Jizz'ing.

Another vote for JR here. And over Rainey? By a long shot.

Could we add Hillman in consideration?

Not gonna come near Sproles production, although I like him... JR is a much, much better candidate. Injury too just so you know:

Broncos rookie RB Ronnie Hillman aggravated his hamstring injury in Tuesday's practice.
Hillman had just returned to practice over the weekend after missing nearly a week and a half with the injury. On a positive note, coach John Fox suggested Tuesday's strain wasn't as serious as the early-camp injury. Aug 14 - 7:17 PM

i'd say Jacquizz as well.

i know there's been some staff changes in Pittsburgh over the last several years (Mularkey was there a while ago, Bruce Arians, now Todd Haley) but i feel like Pittsburgh RB's are becoming a bit like Shanahan RBs.

plenty of good guys, semi-reliable good team, etc... but there's always a 3rd-down back, always some injury within their promising RBBC....

Quizz Rodgers is big enough that they'll be able to run him inside the tackles periodically so he offers the O-coordinator more options to use him. Again, while on the smallish side, he can break a tackle

Rainey is strictly an outside the tackles guy when they opt to use him on running plays and I suspect you'll be able to count the number of tackles he breaks this year on one hand.

Not saying Rainey isn't talented, far from it but the fact that they aren't even trying to insert him in pass protection type drills when he's in the lineup tells me all I need to know on how they'll use him and what his strengths/limitations are.
