MLB suspended Bartolo Colon 50 games for testing positive for Testosterone.
This confirms a report by Jon Heyman of CBS Sports. Colon is the second player in the past week to be suspended for elevated levels of Testosterone, joining Melky Cabrera of the Giants. The A's only have 40 games left, so the suspension will rule him out for the rest of the regular season. Colon has been one of the A's best starters this year, but with Brett Anderson back from Tommy John surgery, Dan Straily in the minors and A.J. Griffin making progress from a shoulder strain, the team has the proper depth to hang around.
