"The experts" were warming up to him in the preseason. And with Moore injured, there wasn't much left. Palmer getting comfortable. Yada yada.

Fast forward..

Virtually disappeared against the Chargers. Palmer looked good, but all the looks were going to Streeter.

Know it's one game, but what's your take?

I may be overreacting, but I don't think there is much value to the Raider offense after watching game one. I still think Moore could be good if he can get healthy. But I think DHB is droppable.

and you're a raider fan, whatever. Its one game. Raiders are an average team. 10 yrs no winning seasons. I'm not saying he is a #1 or hell even a solid #2 fantasy wr, but droppable, c'mon. what do you have 2 bench spots on you team

Every year I buy into the preseason hype (even pre-Palmer). Every year I target him in my drafts. Every year I end up disappointingly drop him to WW with mud on my face. I saw it Monday night and I've seen it before...there seems to be issues between him and Palmer. Right or wrong...zero trust factor from his QB.

Hayward-Bay is what he was last year, and the year before and the year before that. There is no supper sleeper value. He's fast, runs lousy routes, can't catch and had no business being a first round pick and he's at best a bye week fill in if you get lucky and he has a good game when you need him.

Agreed. If I find myself ever having to consider starting him on any of my teams I know things have gone horribly, horribly wrong.

Guy's averaging 14.3 yds a catch which puts him right behind R White and right in front of AJ Green.

Oh, and tied with the pick of the week Ogletree.

I am not saying Heyward Bey is a starting option at this point either. Anybody who watched the game Monday night knows how bad the Raiders offense looked. They couldn't protect Palmer and he checked down 13 times to DMC, which is more receptions than any WR this week.

So he plays on a team that's going to throw the ball allot. I guess it could be allot worse. Yeah, he only had 3 receptions; but what happens when he has 8 and one goes for a TD (114 yds and a TD).

The Raiders are going to have to throw allot, and they have injuries at the WR position already. I think it's foolish to give up on anybody after week 1. But, I think you should def cut him...what a bumb!

Agreed.

It seemed that him and Palmer weren't on the same page. There was a play early on where he either gave up on the route or ran the wrong route and Palmer made a dangerous throw to where he was supposed to be. Palmer even pulled him aside at one point and tried to talk to him, his body language didn't see too receptive.

I think Moore's the better WR in Oakland, but he's got to be healthy to get on the field. My perspective is based on Moore being back sooner rather than later.

I've tried and tried to buy in on DHB, but I'm still not impressed. Once Moore comes back (and hopefully Jacoby Ford), I think DHB's value will be pretty low.

I can't wait for D Moore to get back but I fear were going to start hearing the words hami tear associated with him.

I hate to ever use yahoo for reference, but "Heyward-Bey averaged five catches for 79 yards in the seven games he played with Carson Palmer last season" ....yeah....tons of issues and 0 trust... :F

I would rather have D Moore and I probably wouldnt make a move for DHB BUT if I already had him on my roster I would see how things go this week as Ford is going to be out for atleast a few weeks....

I don't understand why people are trashing oaklands run game with Run DMC in the backfield.....(I am an oakland fan and I will admit I didnt get to watch MNF....freaken DVR decided for some reason to not record the game even though I had set it up to record it)

If you have a great oppurtunity to pick up a solid WR I could see making a move but if you already have DHB I'd wait a week or two and see what happens in the coming weeks with Jacoby being injured
