Have you ever sat one for a bench player you thought had a better matchup? I'm thinking of sitting McCoy for Ridley this week. My other RB is Peterson. I'm probably overthinking it but I'm curious if anyone else has sat their first rounder and what the result was.

Based on your tittle you already know the answer to t this.

Always start your studs. If McCoy is breathing he starts.

Disagree. No way you start ridley over McCoy, regardless of matchup.

Who might get Carries our catches over McCoy? Who might get them over Ridley?

I generally agree that you ride your Studs but I can see why you would consider starting Ridley this week vs ARZ and McCoy is playing Balt especially if its standard scoring....it would be ALOT harder for me to bench McCoy in PPR this week as with Balt bringing alot of pressure he should get alot of receptions.....

I think Ridley has the potential to become a stud this year....

I'd stick with McCoy, not because ASYS, but because I don't think the Ravens are a bad matchup. BJGE just posted a very good game against Baltimore, and McCoy's capable of doing the same. Plus, he'll be more involved in the passing game than Green-Ellis is.

start whoever you want. it's your team.

I have benched my studs before for better matchup plays, and sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't.

I do feel it is too early in the year to be doing that, however. I still think it's a little too soon to gauge just how good/bad the matchups are, and with a player like Ridley, I'd want him to prove he can sustain that level of production for a few weeks before rolling him out there.

the funny thing is you can say the patriots will be up by a lot and will run the ball...but nope, they are the patriots. they WILL be up a lot, but they could keep on passing and beat this team 70-0 if the hoodie wills it.

however with that said, I would still consider ridley over mccoy with these circumstances.

I always try to abide by the ASYS, but, man, Ridley looked good. Arizona is bad, too. I think Ridley has the potential to have a HUGE game. However, McCoy, as we have seen in the past, is always good.

The question is, is the risk worth the reward? If you are willing to take a risk, then start Ridley. If not, you know you will get good points with McCoy - you're safe play.

I think, in this instance, the risk may be worth the reward.

If matchups scare me off a player, I'm not drafting them at v the top.
