Josh Freeman - Worth a Bench Spot?

Josh Freeman was the 12th ranked QB by shark projections coming into the season. If you're like me and missed out on Ryan in the late 4th/5th rounds, then you were stuck waiting on a QB and took a flier on a couple of guys. Lucky for me one was Dalton, but the other was Freeman. Here are Freeman's point totals for me so far this season: 13, 18, 9. That 18 is against the NYG. The other two are CAR and @DAL.

Freeman's coming off of two straight seasons with nearly 3500 yards in each. Although last year he was 16/22 TD/INT ratio, two years ago he was 25/6. This year he's gone 138/1/0, 243/2/2, and 110/1/1. Look at those pass yards. They are atrocious. Has he gone full "game manager" on us?

Now, Freeman's next four are home vs. WAS, BYE, and home vs. KC and NO. Does the shark tank think he's worth a bench spot, or even a start next week at home vs. the terrible WAS secondary?

Apologies if this thread has already been started.

I'd rank him around 20th...someone on the waiver wire in 8 or 10 team leagues with shallow rosters but worth a bench spot in deeper 12, 14 or 16 team leagues.

I picked him up as a backup too.

I watched the game he played against Dallas. I was not impressed. All of his completions were short. Almost all of the (very few) passes he made down field were atrocious. He looked too nervous when under pressure. I hope this was an especially bad game for him.

I'd like to drop him, but in a 14-team fantasy league there are only ~4 NFL starters remaining on waivers.

Dropping him today for either Ponder or Palmer. I drafted him the past two years hoping he'll return to his 2010 form but I'm just not seeing it.

I would keep him for one more week and this is why........... they play Washington.

Washington has allowed the most fantasy pts for QB so far this year.
Team

1. Washington Redskins vs. QB 3gm 69comp 114att 977yds 9 td 4int 5 rush 26yds 0 td 87.5 ffpts 29.2 ffpts/g

I would also play V. Jackson or M. Williams this week also.

1. Washington Redskins vs. WR 3 gm 45 recp 766yds 6 td 115.3 ffpts 38.4 ffpts/g

He's a bye week fill-in, nothing more.

I wouldn't tie up a bench spot with him the rest of the time.

Every QB to play the Skins this year have torched them for 300+ yards. I'd have no problem starting Freeman if I needed to. Especially now that he's throwing to V-Jax.

I'm dropping him. I think I'm going to grab Kolb to replace him. The waivers are pretty thin with 14 teams & everybody having 2 QBs on roster:
    Kevin Kolb
    Matt Hasselbeck
    Brandon Weeden
    Blaine Gabbert
    Ryan Tannehill
    Mark Sanchez
