Maybe I missed the memo about these threads, maybe they've been outlawed or relegated to the Trade/Waiver/Draft forum...if so, please delete/remove this thread appropriately. Otherwise, I always find this type of thread really helpful during key stages of the season - especially helpful if it's organically generated in the tank and populated with opinions from the sharks. Seeing how we're at the quarter-pole of the season, here are some of my thoughts - please rip it apart, add to it, or respond however.

Buy Low:

QB: Stafford, Romo
RB: McCoy, Forte, Bradshaw, Mathews
WR: Andre Johnson, Lloyd, Maclin, SSmith, Antonio Brown, Wallace, Garcon
TE: Witten

Stafford and Romo are both great buy lows in my opinion and both on byes this week, possibly making them more available. Forte and Garcon are two dynamic players that will be key cogs in their respecitve offenses when fully healthy - making both good investments at this point. Brown (and Wallace for that matter) - if they've been forgotten by their owner due to the early bye week, both are great targets, Brown as one of the best WR2s out there and Wallace as a top-5 WR, super impressed by both in the early going.

Sell High:

QB: Fitzpatrick, Dalton, Carson Palmer
RB: Gore, CJ (if possible), SJax (on name alone), Turner
WR: Dez, VJax, Hartline, Stevie Johnson
TE: Bennett, Celek

I feel strongly about Gore - the yardage hasn't been great (especially on a per touch basis), his value has been in close scores thus far, Jacobs is coming back, Hunter is a pretty dynamic change of pace, and they face SEA and MIA in the fantasy playoffs.
I think teams will key on Bennett going forward - he surprised many with his production, but he's a target for coverage now and I think he'll struggle to handle the increased attention.

Bennett's always had some problems with dropped balls, inconsistency. The real surprise here was how he came out the first few games in 2012.

Time will tell, but he could still be a factor if the Giants WR continue to miss time and he picks up some of the added targets. The younger Manning is just as likely to throw it 40 times in a game if Bradshaw is hobbled/ineffective.

McCoy is third in the league in rushing. Only fools would be trying to unload him.

Buy

Antonio Gates
Ryan Mathews
Greg Jennings
Mathew Stafford
Julio Jones
Jordy Nelson

Sell

Andy Dalton
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Jackie Battle
Martellus Bennett (though you may have missed this boat)

You think Gates is a buy? I haven't had a chance to see him play, but a lot of people are saying he's lost the ability to separate and might be close to done as an impact receiver - I'm trying to find time to watch the SD game this weekend to see for myself.

Here's the "buy low/sell high" after Week 1 thread.

We probably need one of these every 3 to 4 weeks.

Buy:
Mathews...gotta do it before Sunday tho as his value will never be lower to an owner who is not sure what to do with him
McFadden...if the owner is off to a rough start, I'd make a move for him as he enters his bye week, favorable schedule coming up
Stafford...he can turn things around real quick and his owner may be having remorse
Murray...played some tough defenses recently and his owner may be unsure of his long term value
Julio...no way he doesn't start lighting it up
Nicks...injured player could come back killing, owner may be frustrated with DNPs
Hernandez...should be back soon but owner may be struggling and ready to move on

Sell:
CJreally?K...after his last game, I'd make sure every owner in my league knows he's available
Bryant...some owners may still view him as a WR1 after last game
FJax/Spiller...not sure what to do here, but I'd see what they are worth, could kill each other's upside
Fitzpatrick...off to a hot start, QB-needy owner may be willing to overpay
Colston...big game last week but he always has 4 of those every year, other 12 games are so-so
Turner...2 solid back-to-back games, but he looks slow...and fat

Two things.

1. He can't play worse.

2. You can get him for almost nothing.

I'm thinking about him and/or Mathews, not sure what their value is though (offered up Sjax for Mathews).

Ryan Mathews, has this guy ever produced?

At least CJ2k has a track record.

I don' t think selling anybody is foolish. If you can get the right price, and have enough needs, then anybody can be sold.

I had been thinking of selling him, but not low. That's the thing witb threads like this. I wouldn' t deal a guy low when I know he is coming back unless I was desperate.

I've been trying to sell Bradshaw and/or Ridley but no one is buying. Which players would you target with these two? I've tried to package one of them up with Miles Austin for AJ Green or Julio Jones with no luck lol

I'm trying to get rid of depth
