Donald Brown underwent knee surgery Tuesday and is expected to miss 2-3 weeks.
Brown tore some cartilage in his knee on his final touch of the Colts' Week 5 upset of the Packers. It's not a major injury and has been cleaned out by a simple scope. Remember that Trent Richardson underwent a similar procedure just a month before the season started and was ready to rock in Week 1. Vick Ballard will start Sunday's game against the Jets and Delone Carter will mix in as well. If Mewelde Moore (ankle) can suit up, he'll have a role too.
He does have a good matchup this week, so he might be alright, but he couldn't start over Donald Brown.

This kind of thinking is completely incorrect. Or have we forgotten EVERY backup EVER who has come in to play better than the starter?
See, most recently, Demarco Murray/Felix Jones.
Also, Donald Brown isn't exactly Arian Foster.
