Holy cow....6 teams are off this week and I am scrambling to find players to fill my rosters.

The Falcons being off is hurting me the most though. I own Ryan and Roddy and Turner in 4 leagues. Tony Gonzalez in 3 leagues. Not sure what the NFL was thinking, because no other week has more than 4 teams off.

In the league I commish we have 3 or 4 teams raped by the bye week and injuries this week. Some of the starting lineups are going to be brutal. I have to start Carson Palmer this week but at least he plays the Jags so he should have a somewhat decent game.

This can be a blessing in disguise: take an L this week, but be at full strength the rest of the bye weeks.

I lose Bush, Maclin, & Decker this week. Will be scouring the waiver wire tonight. Hoping for Phillip Tanner & Josh Gordon along with bye week fill-in Kendall Wright.

Next week I lose Foster & AJ Green!

Yeah in my main 12 team league there are 4 teams at the make-or-break point of a record of 3-3. Of those 4, 3 of them are getting hit really hard by the byes:

Team 1 loses Rivers, Cassel, D.Thomas, Jacquizz, and Bryant

Team 2 loses Ryan, McCoy, Hartline, and Tamme.

Team 3 loses Vick, Decker, Bess, Meachem, Gonzo, Gates, and Falcons D.


I'm the 4th. Only losing Maclin.

Bye weeks cost me earlier (Colts, Steelers). Skated through when Stafford went on bye. I'm pretty good, although a lot of other owners in my league didn't account for it, especially at RB. Maybe I will get some trade offers for RBs

Agreed, there's definitely something to be said for having most of your guys on bye the same week, accepting a probable one-time loss that week, and thus NOT doing any roster gymnastics to fill the holes. The end result is that you'll be at full strength every other week. I've never sought out such a situation, and I probably never will, but I wouldn't be tearing up a perfectly good roster to try to get a single W. Keep your eyes on the prize.
