I looked at my line up tonight and I have always tried to stay away from playing too many players in the same game. The example tonight is I have Bowe, Charles and Gates going tonight which doesn't leave much left for the rest of the week.

Thoughts on this? Do other people stay away from playing too many players in the same game. I truly believe they are my best option but if it becomes a defensive battle you have pretty much lost the game this week. I will probably pull one of them before game time just because I don't want so many players in the same game.

IMO this should have no impact. They all play different roles

Not a problem. Start your best players.

Start you best players, regardless.

I have Matthews and SD DST tonight and my opponent has Bowe and Charles.

Then, on Monday night, I have DJax and Celek and my opponent has Vick. Sounds like those 2 games will go a long way toward determining the winner this weekend.

In circumstances like this, I might be more prone to looking at the matchups, though.

If my 3 "best" guys are going up against a particularly solid D, then I might try to diversify on the off-chance that they get shut down completely. That is about the extent of the analysis that I would do.

I would not want too many guys on the same team. Let's say you have Manning, mcgahee, decker, thomas starting. Manning reinjures his neck. Do you think mcgahee decker and thomas are gonna put up a lot of points without manning? Doubt it.

However, the same GAME does not really matter...gates and charles, no correlation. Unless there was a high chance of crazy weather

a guy in my league started romo, nicks, witten, tynes, NYG Def last week and that seemed to work out pretty well for him.....It would probably put you at east if the game you plan on starting all these guys in is predicted to be high scoring...and not the 2nd lowest of the week like tonights game

I don't care about that stuff. Start your best guys. The only time that plays at all, in my opinion, is if I have a guy going against my defense.

And even then it doesn't really matter. You can get good points from your defense AND your offensive player facing it.

Well, I'm hoping AJ scores a couple of TDs this week, so lucky for me I'm starting SD tonight.

absolutely. in my aforementioned scenario of lots of cowboys and giants, NYG Def did awesome but so did Romo and witten thanks to all his yards/catches.

And back in week 4 TRich had a decent game (100yds and the lone browns TD), and the ravens def did well also....granted a defensive TD doesn't hurt

I hate having players go on Thursday. IMO the teams are unprepared and have not recovered from the last Sunday. But your starters are pretty clear based on expectations ... just cross your fingers.

I will have Matt Ryan and Hulio Hones and Dez Bryant in the SNF game. If it starts raining in the dome I suppose my players are hosed.

There is something to be said for not having multiple players on the same NFL team. They can all be dinged by an injury to an O-lineman.

Bowe is the only one I would consider taking out. I would start Charles and Morris without a doubt. And AJ Green and Dez are in there. But Bowe or Gordon could go either way, and I might just let the TNF factor sway me.

Always start your best players, regardless.

On the other side, my opponent is starting Russell Wilson, R. Turbin, S. Hauschka, the Seattle D on one side and P. Harvin on the other. So that's 5 (of 9) positions in one game Seattle vs Minn. I wouldn't load up like that, but due to bye weeks, and his being to cheap to buy FA's, that's the boat he's in.

The kicker and the DEF don't matter.

The problem is starting a midget QB and a backup RB.
