Why do I always end up picking this guy up every year?

This week he is going against TB's cheese cloth pass defense in what should be a high scoring affair.

If Meachem and/or Royal sit, DX should get some decent targets this week.

Bye week desperation play ( I have Cobb and Jordy out). Once again this cripple has me buying in. :F

I'm facing bye week and injury concerns at WR, too.

He's the only WR on my wire worth a damn, so I'll probably place a bid on him.

I held onto him last year in deep blue dyno and dropped him at draft time when we set keepers. Now, once agian, rostered him. Ironically, I owned and retained Meacham who I was hoping would be something (anything) this year. I dropped Meacham last week. Its full out rebuild mode. That team I inherited was/is too much suck in one basket so here I am taking another chance. DX is the crack cocaine of fantasy football.

So who had the cojones to start him today? I picked him up and put him in at my flex spot at 11 this morning! :party-smiley-050:

I think if he can stay healthy (which given his history is highly unlikely, his knee will probably explode in practice this week) he may be the waiver wire darling that helps a lot of teams down the stretch run this year. The guy has pro bowl talent and it looks like him and Rivers have developed chemistry rather quickly.

All the tools to be a top 5 WR in this league but the knees of an 80 year old.

Had to have a win this week and started a crap team (Bradshaw and J. Rogers were my starting RB's) vs. a league leader.

Drop Cecil for DX, and started DX in the flex. Felt like an idiot after Cecil looked good on Thurs, until about 2 minutes into the SD game today. DX and Denver WW adds got me a win. Dude is a freak, but I'd have to see it again for him to make a spot again. Obviously has something with rivers... idk maybe he's here to stay.

Based on his history I would expect him to be unable to play or practice for the next 4-5 weeks.

Funny. But oh soooo true.

He might as well spend that time with his compadres on my bench. And he'll still prob out produce them. I drafted Robert Meachem and must be the most loyal owner in all of Fantasy Football. And in week 3 I parked Vincent Brown in my 1 allowed IR spot waiting for his splash landing back into relevancy.

Im pouring one out for this kid...or better yet this kid's knees. :Drink) Im rooting for them.

Should be the #1 WW pickup this week. That team is gonna be chucking the ball quite a bit, and he'll have plenty of 1-on-1 coverages to prove himself with Gates/Floyd on the field.

You speak as if teams are double-teaming Gates and Floyd often or something....

I've watched 3 SD games this year and I don't even see teams respecting Gates in the RZ anymore (which is probably why he's open, but still).

Nice stat line this week; but take away the 80 yarder and the missed tackle it's a very sad day. I wouldn't count on it, but bid away. :Drink)

It's a dance. In a league with IR spot. Take Danario out of IR so you can do waivers. Put him back in come Sunday. Repeat.

I've been down this road before.... you play him he leaves in the 1st quarter with an injury, you bench him and he outplays your starter on your bench. If in need though, and you plan to play him, then yeah, he is worth it until his next injury.
