Wondering about thoughts on dropping a RB handcuff to scoop up Beanie Wells right now? I'm currently 9-1 in my very competitive 14 team PPR so I can gamble some. I'm sitting on Ben Tate, and Gerhart as handcuffs, so I'm wondering if I should pull the trigger on Beanie now that he'll be back next week or week after.
If so, who should I drop for him?
Note, I don't own AP or Foster, just thought I'd grab them as handcuffs a few weeks ago.

Tate and Gerhart only have value if you own the lead back. I'd drop either for Beanie. But Beanies value is only marginally better than what you have

Unless you are specifically holding the player to keep him away from another team, I wouldn't bother keeping some other team's handcuff over a player you might actually use.

Beanie may have some stand-alone value. Tate/Gerhart have value only if Foster/Peterson go down.

I'd drop Gerhart, but either is acceptable.

Az's playoff schedule isn't very inviting.. but adding depth at RB is certainly always a good idea (if you're already thin there).

As others said, drop either of those guys for him since at least Wells has some value regardless of the health of his teammates.

Or, I'm still sitting on Sproles too. Is there a chance he comes back soon? I'm seeing reports that he's out indefinitely. Should I consider dumping him for wells? I also have McCoy, s Jackson, and Marcel Reece as well on my roster.

I added Beanie and dropped Vick Ballard. I have several other marginal rb's myself. When the dude is right, Beanie can go beastmode on any opponent. He proved that last year. It was a short window of some serious truckin then he broke down. Lets hope he does it this year for the brief window of the fantasy playoffs.

I would NOT drop sproles. He has a hand problem. His whole game is catching the ball so I think he will be back when he can catch and secure the football reasonably well. If you are playoff bound, HOLD.

Hopefully that O-line has had some time to mesh in his absence. Terrible first few games for beanie.

Sproles practiced today, looks like he will play this week.

I'm thinking Beanie has very little value. On the good side, he is practicing and 100% healthy. On the bad side, he is the RB for the Cardinals. I would drop Gerhart for him. Who knows ... with the right match up Beanie might be a useful fantasy RB.

I'd drop most of the guys listed for him. He has a few useful matchups in weeks 12 and 13 before a brutal playoff schedule. Curious to see how he does.

Eh, injuries happen so fast and so many handcuffs are already rostered in many leagues. I'd be happy to stash Beanie on my bench in case my top 3 RBs go McFadden.

is it worth dropping your backup QB at this point that bye weeks are over for Wells?
I have Stafford and would drop Freeman.
