With apologies to cimg38, who came up with one of my favorite threads, which coach deserves The Golden Turd for destroying the value of your stud player or players?

Couple of names come to mind:

Norv Turner for his usage of Ryan Mathews.

Andy Reid for turning a top 3 pick LeSean McCoy into a low-end RB2.

Ron Rivera for destroying the value of Cam Newton, Jonathan Stewart and Steve Smith.

Discuss.

Jim Harbaugh (or his OC), for using Vernon Davis as a mere blocking TE a' la Anthony Fasano

That's a good one. As good as they've been for Frank Gore and M. Crabtree, they've totally devalued Vern. He's not even getting much in the red zone anymore. Of course, with Smith out, they might not have any choice but to keep Vern in to run block and protect Capricorn, or whatever his name is.

Its either Turner or Reid. No other coaches are even in that same tier as far as the qualifications for this thread go.

They're my two favorites (or least-favorites, as the case may be).

Reid literally made me trade McCoy, after I was praying he'd fall to me at the draft. And I had Mathews in two leagues, I traded himi in one and held onto him in the other and now it's too late to move him.

The situations are so similar, it's eerie. Two dynamic backs who catch the ball well. Two shaky QBs with turnover problems. And a steadfast refusal by the coaching staff to feature either guy. From a football perspective, it's baffling. Oh, and two coaches who are sure to be looking for work next season.

Brian Daboll on the Jamaal Charles usage - this one is too obvious but needs to be said.

Cam Cameron for his baffling usage of the entire Ravens offensive skill players - yes Ray Rice included...When was the last time Ray Rice had a difference-making week? He's been just "pretty good" for the entire season - screw that, this guy is a beastly talent and Cameron is wasting him.

Gotta go with Reid. No doubt about it. I don't blame him for the awful offensive line, but his play calling has been tremendously bad. His refusal to run the ball is at least partially to blame for the pressure on Vick/Foles on every single play. If he would run a balanced offense, you would have seen defenses adjust to stop the run, not just bulldoze their way to Vick. Reid is an idiot.

Bill is skyrocketing up my coach turd rankings though, after the Gronk injury, RB roulette and Welker nonsense early in the year.

I think Chudzynski is at the top of that list for how he has screwed with Cam but I have to throw an honorable mention to Scott Linehan in Detroit who with the game and likely the season on the line with 1st and goal just inside the GB 10 yd line where a TD ices the game, tries 2 straight ahead dives into the line for a whole yard and a half and then a 3rd down throw to Titus Young without a single look at Megatron...C'Mon Man!!

The Patriots love their "RB Roulette". Nothing new there.
