After watching wide receiver Plaxico Burress workout today, the Pittsburgh Steelers plan to sign him.

My approach to fantasy football is the same as it is with the Cowboys.. I can't wait for next season!

In the same number too. Gonna hit up some thrift stores tonight and try to snag one just for fun.

Some people in Pittsburgh are pumped that Plax is back. My response was think Randy Moss in SF only less effective. There's a reason he's been without a job.

I don't know whether he will be effective or not. I'm not excited about it regardless.

he's a corner of the end zone specialist who never has to practice. what's not to love? even ol' wheel chair Charlie Batch can still throw up a jump ball. honestly, i'm somewhat surprised no one has signed him sooner.

Id rather have the fade thrown to Wallace. Burress couldn't time the jump on a fade pass that well in his prime.

if i recall sunday night, 3rd quarter, it was 3rd and two on the five and 6'0" tall Wallace couldn't come with it on a fade route.

advantage, Burress.

Pittsburgh problem isn't with WR depth, it's with QB depth, can't see this making any practical difference for them at all. And fantasy wise it doesn't seem to have much of an effect on anything either.

No, they have a real problem at WR too. Two of their top four WRs are out with injuries (Brown & Cotchery).

Umm...

2 of their top 3 QBs are out?

And their #2 and #3 QBs are pretty god awful to begin with.

Their WR depth may also be down, but it's not the problem the team has. From a fantasy perspective no one is going to be picking up and playing Batch or Leftwitch or whomever else they may have in there. Is Burress worth pursuing? Doubtful, but I suppose there may be some FF teams out there with WR groups so bad he may be worth a looooooooooooong gamble on.

I'd guess there's better choices on most waiver wires though.

Sorry, I thought we were discussing the Steelers needs, not your fantasy football league's needs.

And during that third and two in which Wallace barely didn't get his feet in 35 year old plax was on his arse at home.
