Babin, 32, had a career-best 18 sacks for the Eagles last season after re-signing with the team as a free agent two offseasons ago with a five-year, $28 million contract.

He had 5.5 sacks this season.

Falcons should give him a look, but that's probably all they do. He'd make a nice guy to rotate with Beerman who actually plays above average against the run. Would be shocked if Cincy let him get through waivers. Rumor floating around Eagles are considering cutting Nnamdi too. Apparently it's turned into see what we have in our younger players for the Eagles. Reid is 100% gone we know that, but I think this seals Vick's fate too.

The cliff is dramatic. Remembering how and the body being able to do it are not the same. 32 is old in football years, unless you're a Kicker.

I think Vick's fate was sealed even before he was concussed. No way they were going to pick up that $15.5 M option next year.

Definitely, but ASB is right, they are going young. Babin was just interviewed on ESPN radio and basically said as much. If you're on the wrong side of 30, you better pack your bags. I think both Babin and Vick will get picked up elsewhere, not only as backups, but as starters.

I'll be expecting him to sign with the Patriots for next to nothing within the week.

Babin is a liability in the 3-4, he can speed rush the passer but that's really it. That has value, but he is just a role player. Philly cut him because they expect someone to claim him so they will save millions

I can't imagine someone taking on that remaining contract. Nearly $17M still owed. Ouch.
