With the 1st selection of the 2013 NFL Draft...the Kansas City Chiefs select....??????

Has to be a QB
They have painted themselves into such a corner, that they have to choose a QB, whether he deserves to be taken number 1, or not

Typical KC sports luck, the first overall selection and no franchise player sitting out there

Sort of like the Royals.
No Bryce Harper, no Stephen Strasburgh....they get the number one overall...and it's Luke freaking Hochevar

This is a classic setup draft for teams in need of a QB just like when the Jags and Vikes reached for Gabbert and Ponder. No clear cut top pick at QB but there are teams sure to waste a 1st round pick on some of the QBs coming out.

In this type of draft you pick the best player available regardless of position and fill specific needs through trades/FAs...

Matt Flynn is kicking himself for becoming a FA a year too early!!!

Yes.

Guessing 6 of the top 10 teams in the draft order need or at least will strongly look at drafting a QB.

If guys like (just throwing out names) Wilson and Glennon end up with 2nd round grades, I can see teams at the of of the draft who passed on a QB with their first pick jumping into the latter half to third of the first round to grab one of them.

Geno Smith is going to need to be a total Combine flop to not go in the top 4 picks.

KC will take a look at the sucesses of the teams with rookie or 2nd year QBs this year, and make a huge mistake and take Matt Barkley.

That guy ain't Luck or RG3 or Kapaernick or even Dalton. He might be Ponder, on a good day.

Over Smith? I'd be fairly shocked at that one.

Yeah I can't see them grabbing Barkley. His stock has fallen too much.

I'd guess Smith. They could go with Joeckel, Star, or Jones, but I would venture to guess it would be only because they are having a FA QB coming in to start.

As of now I'm guessing we are drafting Joeckel or Star. We have to address both of our lines. At least a RT on our O-line.

Chiefs and Jags are so pathetic they should reinstitute the 1995 draft expansion rules.

Where both expansion teams received 2 picks every round (at beginning and end of round).

Sadly the most fun time of the year for us Lions fans. Any early favorites you like for the Lions to pick GDMK?
