Greg Jennings is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the year.

He is on a club that is VERY deep at WR. He has already said he does not want to be franchised. With these other WRs on the roster that are putting up impressive numbers:

Jones- top 10 in TDs in NFC
Nelson- talented and proved to be a great route runner
Cobb- maybe one the most explosive players in the NFL
Driver- a proven veteran

Green Bay doesn't normally hold onto talented players when they are already deep at the same position (M Flynn).

Is there any doubt he leaves and maybe packs his bags for sunny Miami?

Surely Driver will retire this offseason, I would like to see Jennings in St. Louis.

The 'Hawks will be on the market for playmakers on the outside. Unsure if they intend to find a FA or sift through the draft. Seems some talented receivers coming in the draft. I'd like for them to grab a sure thing proven type of WR though.

Dolphins should be in the mix

From Rotoworld:

Quote:
The Miami Herald expects the Dolphins to "consider making a serious run" at free agent Greg Jennings this offseason.
Jennings knows Dolphins coach Joe Philbin's offense from their time together in Green Bay. It's about as logical an offseason fit we can contemplate in 2013 free agency. Philbin has stated publicly that he doesn't believe free agency is the way to build a team, but the cap-rich Fins can afford to drop some coin on an established wideout, and Jennings would perfectly fit their mold.

Not for me, but then again i said exactly this (jennings > leaving GB > likely MIA bound) over a month ago ;)

Was good to see the Miami Herald and Roto think the same thing a couple of days back

None of it means itll happen, but on paper it makes too much sense not to :dontknow:

I don't expect Seattle to be big players for Jennings. I think they're going to aim to use their cap room for carryover, extending young guys on the roster, and potentially a free agent DT. I imagine WR will be a draft day concern.

Landing spot for Jennings in order of likelihood:

Miami

Minnesota

Everywhere else.

The way Seattle looks lately that would be scary to see Jennings land there... :-k

people have been predicted jones or jennings to Miami basically since Philbin arrived. If he does, they better protect themselves with the contract.

Not deep? Compared to what other teams are they not deep at WR?

The Falcons? The Saints? The... Steelers???

It's somewhat of a subjective argument to be sure, but I think there are probably 20-25 teams who would gladly swap their WR groups with GBs. With or without Jennings.

Jennings can follow his mentor Robinson to Dallas....Miles is going to be a UFA next year and he is not reliable health wise

:F

I'd happily take that depth on Dallas any season....

:F Omar Kelly, is that you? (believe me, there are a plethora of more articles out there connecting these dots for many, many months)

His emergence will likely make impending free agent Greg Jennings expendable to the Packers, but is adding an aged (30 next season) receiver like Jennings to this Dolphins' offense the answer? It would certainly help Ryan Tannehill's development as a young quarterback.

I've been doing a good job of ignoring you jam, but I couldn't take the shameless (and false) self promotion any longer. I'll put you back on my ignore list now. Carry on. :thumbright:

As someone who doesnt live in MIA or read the herald, only what comes out of aggregate sites like roto? Im fine with that.

Im just glad you took time to dig that up, which proves only further the original point - regardless of the fact you dont like who that is (and my word, what a passage THAT just was, time for handbags? :) ) - that its not a new rumor.

Im glad we agree. Its a rarity :)
