The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Fantasy Analysis

Which Matt Hasselbeck will show up in 2009? He had career bests in 2007 and then the injury riddled nightmare of 2008. It's easy to think he will improve over last year but should fall well short of 2007. He will be 34 at the beginning of the season, has a new head coach, and a new number one receiver to work with. He makes for a nice #2 QB with an occasional start if the matchup is favorable.

Passing: 3400 Yards, 24 TD, 14 INT.
Rushing: 80 Yards, 1 TD.

Seattle Seahawks Team Talk
What do we need to address most drastically this offseason? O-Line: Walter Jones is old, and we need a LT to replace him. QB: Hass is getting old too, and much as I love Seneca, I don't see him as the QB of the future. RB: Forsett has shown ...

Which, if any, part of the Seahawks offense can we bank on next year? Does Forsett become must draft material? How about Housh or Burleson? Discuss!...

If not, then who would you like to see as the new GM?...

Average Draft Position (ADP) Tracker
Draft Analysis
Round 7, Pick 2
Positives
Experienced, pro-bowl QB with decent receiving options in Seattle. Not terribly INT-prone. Hopefully a healthy Shaun Alexander at RB improves the passing game, which was not up to its usual level last year.
Negatives
It seems like Seattle's O-line still hasn't recovered from the loss of Steve Hutchinson at LG. Though often dinged up, Darrell Jackson was Hasselbeck's go-to guy, and DJax's done gone to the Niners. Hasselbeck's getting older and slower.
Draft Strategy
QBs are not powerhouse scorers in the Shark league scoring format, so I usually wait til I have significant RB/WR depth before even thinking about picking a QB. However, there seem to be so many question marks at the QB position this year, whether it's forecasting young guys like Cutler or Leinart or potential bouncebacks like Eli Manning or Roethlisberger. I decided I wanted to grab someone with a somewhat proven track record and not have to rely completely on a match-up QB tandem. (Contributed by: adevil519)

Round 8, Pick 11
Positives
Deion Branch, Bobby Engram, Nate Burleson and Marcus Pollard. Hasselbeck has a good corp of recievers to throw to. He is an accurate QB with a strong arm in a pass happy offense. A steady fantasy performer week in, week out.
Negatives
Coming off the shoulder surgery (non-throwing arm). Is that injury why he threw more INTs last season then in his previous years?
Draft Strategy
I'm confident the WR I want coming around the corner will still be there. Solidify my QB ranks with Hasselbeck seemed like a good move at this time. He has a lot of upside coming into the 2007 season, and if Kitna struggles (which I doubt), Hasselbeck will be a good insurance policy. (Contributed by: mrkkti)

Starting QB's were flying off board in this draft and I had to grab one quick. (Contributed by: Thrashers)
