Draft Analysis
Round 3, Pick 11
Positives Extreemly fast could be a breakaway threat all season. Capable out of the backfield as a receiver. Built to withstand the punishment at 5'10" 237lbs. has been excellent in the past as LT's backup. Negatives The team. If Chris Redman is the starter I feel better about this pick. The offense is a new one and the offensive line is not the best. reports are that Norwood will be the 3rde down receiving RB. Draft Strategy I am looking for a #2 RB with upside. Turner is a high risk pick in that manny are predicting a 60/40 split of carries with Norwood. I think it will be more like 75/25 split and Turner will definitely get the goalline work. By mid season Turner might be the unquestioned starter. I look for good talent here and Turner definitely has the most talent. (Contributed by: Mad_Puppy)
Round 4, Pick 8
Positives Should get plenty on touches, in a ppr and ppc league, this is exactly what I'm looking for in a RB2. He's shown that he can play very well behind a great line in San Diego, but can he do it in Atlanta. Negatives Never been the feature back before, on a bad team. Draft Strategy Well, this one was a no brainer, a full round after his MMM ADP, I was quite surprised he fell to me this late. I expect Turner to be a consistent point scorer, he won't win any games for me, but he shouldn't lose them either. (Contributed by: Baron_Fel)
Round 4, Pick 11
Positives Big back, that can move the chains, avg 5.5 ypc as LT's caddy, has some quicks too, don't avg over 5.5 ypc just bowling into the line. Negatives Falcons aren't a good team, the rookie Ryan should start at qb some time this year, and they have rebuilt their OL. Not sure how the offense will shake out. Limited body of work for Turner, not sure how he will do carrying 70% of the load, make no mistake Norwood and his plus 6 ypc will get work. Draft Strategy Was flexible here at 4.11, looked at qb,wr, and rb. Chose not to go qb at 4.11 or 5.02, went with rb the only other choice was Edge, took the upside of the Burner over the safe play, Edge. Almost a certainty that the owner on the turn was going rb, with only 1 on his roster, will get my wr 2 at 5.02.
Think that, Turner should get 280 carries at 4.2 ypc for 1176 rshing yds and 20 recpts for 170 yds with 8-9 total tds, can't see more because Norwood will get his, too. (Contributed by: Wolfie)
