Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the TE position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Finishing just shy of his 2nd 1000-yard receiving season, Witten played most of the year hampered by rib and ankle injuries. A concern would be the loss of Terrell Owens and whether or not Dallas' WR's can make enough plays to keep double-teams away from the burly TE. Don't get me wrong, double coverage or not, Witten should be the first at his position to be taken off the board at your fantasy draft.
Lots of ups and downs. I critized them early and they went on to prove me wrong. I appreciate the effort these guys made to turn the year around and I am very proud of them as a team.
Can't wait to get my hands on Favre in Texas next year! I ...

All punks. Every one of these, and this is only to name a few. As far as I'm concerned, there is only one good and decent Cowboy in history, and that man is George Teague, ...

I want to thank all the Dallas fans in the tank for all your support through yet another trying year for the Boys. I know what you have been put through year after year and no one is more considerate to your plight than I am. I am trying to look on ...

Draft Analysis
Round 4, Pick 7
Positives Witten is like having another WR on your team. He had 96 receptions for 1145 yards and 7 TDs in 2007. He's averaged 11+ yds/catch each of the last 3 years. My 2008 projections are for 85/1000/7 Negatives I'm thinking... Draft Strategy I've never taken a TE this early, but I see ADPs for him around 3.04(40) to 3.11(47) so he would not have gotten back around to me. I use a VBD system and this was a total value pick based on what was left on the board. (Contributed by: dmcduke)
Round 4, Pick 6
Positives Witten was the top TE in 2007 and is the second receiving option behind TO on the Cowboys. Negatives The only negative I see with the top TEs is you have to take them early if you want one of them leaving some pretty good players on the board at the other offensive positions. Draft Strategy There are 4 top TEs this year and I planned to get one of them. Witten was my top choice and I almost took him in the 3rd round. After Gates went off the board, this selection was easy for me. Wow, so far I have the top WR, QB and TE. All I need is some luck at my RB picks and my squad will be unstoppable. Also I broke my streak of selecting players with the week 4 bye. (Contributed by: Greg_Allen)
Round 4, Pick 11
Positives This is PPR afterall, and no TE caught as many balls as Witten last year. Negatives Might hurt himself running without a helmet? No... running without a helmet is just pure awesomeness... no negative on this pick. Draft Strategy I felt at this point that there was enough talent at WR slipping down the board that I could take a top notch TE and recover from it easy enough. RB's are starting to be hard to come by, and Im sure as heck not touching a QB this early with shark league scoring. (Contributed by: und2006)
