Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the WR position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Holt's fall from grace was a rapid one. After eight straight thousand yard seasons, Holt struggled in 08, amassing only 64 catches, 780 yards, and 3 TD's. To be fair, it was not all his fault. The Rams are far from their "Greatest Show on Turf" days. Holt immediately becomes the head-liner, in a thin and un-proven wide receiving group. He will be Garrard's number one option, but his days as a 1,000 yard receiver may be over. Rumors have surfaced that he's lost a step, and a transition from turf to grass should only make matters worse. I respect my elders, but Holt will have to prove that he can still separate before I'm ready to buy.
League sources told the Post-Dispatch on Wednesday evening that former Rams WR Torry Holt will be paying a free-agent visit to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday. Jacksonville is in dire need of receiving help. St. Louis Post-Dispatch...
The Jaguars handed Maurice Jones-Drew the keys to their running game Monday when they released veteran Fred Taylor. That means Jones-Drew will now becoming the starting running back after alternating with Taylor the past three seasons. And while ...

Draft Analysis
Round 3, Pick 6
Positives Elite WR...I have him as WR6...in an offense that can't be any worse than they were last year, can they? He was the 6th ranked WR in 2006. The only real difference between 2006 and 2007, when he was 13th, were 3 fewer TDs. I project him to have 95 receptions for 1200 yds and 9 TDs. Negatives Is there another receiver on the team that can take away some of the defenses' attention from Holt? Draft Strategy 8 WRs were gone from the board, and I'd intended to take my first in the 2nd round. Felt fortunate to get Holt, my 6th ranked WR. So far, I'm happy with the way my draft is going. Round 3, Pick 2
Positives Clear cut #1 wr on his team. Good hands and great route runner. Will be a hall-of-famer, experienced and savy. Negatives Getting older at 32, going into 10th season. Slowing down a little due to a knee problem, but, like Westbrook(also on my team), plays through it. Draft Strategy Was going wr here after thinking about Romo or Brees, but taking a qb here would set me back at wr too much. Was looking at Housh, Chad, Smith and Holt.
Housh was taken before my pick, smith missing 1st 2 games, ruled him out. Left Chad and Holt, models of consistency year to year, chose Holt. Holt is more consistant game to game each year, he is undervalued due to a down season by his standards, but still a top 15 finish in ppr. Has some upside at this spot, don't see any downside, things can't be worse in STL, this season. Am actually looking for an up tick, 100+ recpts over 1250+ yds and 9-10tds. (Contributed by: Wolfie)
Round 3, Pick 10
Positives Holt is a consistent 90+ receptions/1100+ yds for the last six years. Even with the terrible offensive year the Rams had last year he still put those numbers up. I look for him to do more of the same this year and if they get it together offensively his numbers will only go higher. Negatives He will continue to gain all of the attention of opposing defenses thus making it tougher for him to do his job. With Bruce gone to pick up the slack, it may not be pretty. Draft Strategy I was (of course) trying to justify a running back at 3.10, but Holt kept staring me in the face. The RB's at this point did not offer enough upside to steer me away from Holt. I was happy to land him at late 3rd round. I have 4 picks to wait and I'm POSITIVE the RB I would have taken will still be there. (Contributed by: RatSlinger)
