Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the DEF position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
2008 was not a good year for New England’s defense, they finished the season ranked as the 19th Fantasy defense. Questions remain as to who is going to replace
Vrabel. With the infusion of youth from the draft and head coach Bill Belichick focused on the defense and not the offense they will be better than last season.
Does any of you know what is the status of Sammy Morris? Bellicheck is a fantasy owners nightmare!!! why does he always have to be secretive about his injured players? It drives me nutZ!!!
Please if anyone has heard anything...let me know! ...
Top Ten reasons these players don't go over their 2007 stats.

According to multiple reports, the Patriots are considering a trade that would land Raiders linebacker Derrick Burgess in exchange for a second- or third-round draft pick. The 6-foot-2, 260-pound Burgess, who turns 31 on Aug. 12, is a two-time Pro ...
Now Jason Taylor is also a free agent. Just a few months shy of his 35th birthday, he's unlikely to command a megabucks contract or a long-term one. He's coming off a down year with the Redskins (just 3 1/2 sacks after averaging slightly more than ...

Draft Analysis
Round 9, Pick 2
Positives Definitely a top 5 defense. Belichick always has a great defensive gameplan where the sum is greater than the parts. But, speaking of parts, do not underestimate the addition of Adalius Thomas - the guy can really do it all. Negatives Asante Samuel's holdout. Rodney Harrison and most of the LB corps are getting on in years. Draft Strategy I don't usually go for DEF this early, but I've had a decent draft so far, accumulating satisfactory depth. I decided to splurge a little and get a DEF I knew would have a decent scoring impact. New England also has a late bye at Week 10, which will enable me to grab another DEF off the waiver wire as the season progresses - there's always a few that end up surprising and over-performing. Round 9, Pick 2
Positives Consistent producer that finishes near top of rankings. Additional offensive talent added this year that could keep defense in good position all season. Week 10 bye. I should not have to look at this slot till late in season. Negatives
Draft Strategy I looked at other positions but figured I would take plunge and go early on defense. In Shark leagues defense's can win games. If NE lives up to thier ranking I should be in good shape all year. (Contributed by: Thrashers)
Round 9, Pick 5
Positives #3 def on my board.Always a tough D and they signed Ad Thomas in the offseason. Negatives Getting a little long in the tooth Draft Strategy The Bears and Ravens were already gone and I wanted a top Def.I figured they were gonna start going like hotcakes in the next few rounds so I took NE.
