Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the RB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Played with less burst and shiftiness last season than fantasy owners have grown accustomed, due to what has been described as an excruciating toe injury. There's that, the infamous shoulder injury which sidelined him in the playoffs before that, and the fact that he's now 30. Oh, and San Diego wants to continue to keep his backup plenty involved. Nevertheless, if he's even 90% healthy you've got to consider him in the first round of your fantasy draft. This is one of the greatest RBs ever to play that we're talking about; he could very well post MVP-caliber numbers this year and next, for all we know.
Yeah my chargers are 9-3 and doing great and have a good chance at the playoffs again this year. However I still hate Norv. I think he's a worthless pile of dog @#$@.
I must say I would love to watch San Diego go and win out and win the ...
Was not even paying attention but saw a picture on ESPN and checked it out. The chargers are only 1 game out from 1st place now in that AFC West.
Merriman is looking healthy, Rivers to VJAX has been amazing. Any way they can somehow pick up a run ...
FIRE NORV TURNER!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE THAT MAN.
He has been a thorn in SD's side since the day he walked into San Diego. I've been complaining for the past 3+ seasons with him and want him out!!!
Just wanted to vent and I just want that sorry ...

Draft Analysis
Round 1, Pick 4
Positives LaDainian Tomlinson has been a perennial #1 draft choice in fantasy but after a toe issue side lined him last season he has fallen down the draft board. He is healthy, fresh, on a great offense and is ready for a rebound. Negatives He is not getting any younger at 30 and the coming out party of Darren Sproles could cut into his time. Draft Strategy Just going best available player and while many may think 1.04 is a little early for Tomlinson, he won't be available next time I pick. (Contributed by: Tony_Holm)
Round 1, Pick 4
Positives I realize that we are in 2009 and not in 2007, but I'm banking on the veteran having much to prove this season. He is still the main fantasy option for the Chargers. He is well motivated, and for the first time since 2005, Tomlinson suited up and participated in a preseason game. The offseason reports indicate that he has worked hard to get his body ready for the pounding of a full season, I like the motivated veteran as the cornerstone of my fantasy team. Negatives The once clear cut overall top fantasy selection is no longer at the top of everyone's list. He's coming off a season that saw his body start to break down and he just turned 30. Draft Strategy For the first time that I can remember, there is no clear cut 'pecking order' at the top of the first round. Many have Matt Forte higher than Tomlinson, I don't, I can't bring myself to draft the second year player at 1.04. Given the choice, I would take Minnesota's Peterson at the top, Jones-Drew behind him, then I have Tomlinson third. There are benefits and drawbacks to all the RBs at the top this year, I'll go with the veteran with something to prove. (Contributed by: doug_coutts)
