Draft Analysis
Round 10, Pick 5
Positives His receiving corps (Charles Rogers, Roy Williams and rookie Mike Williams) is probably the most talented threesome you'll find, and TE Marcus Pollard isn't bad either. With those receivers and Kevin Jones in the back field as well, Harrington has a supporting cast that spells success. Negatives Harrington is 14-30 as a starter and Jeff Garcia wants his job and still has some left in the tank. If Joey struggles, DET has a viable option and I'm sure Mariucci won't hesitate pull him. Offensive coordinator Ted Tollner has said that the quarterback has to perform if you're going to win, and when you're going into Year 4, you've got to perform.
Draft Strategy There wasn't any real "sexy" picks in my opinion at this point. Harrington has outstanding receivers at his disposal. Rookie WR Mike Williams joins first-round picks Charles Rogers and Roy Williams. Harrington will have no excuses if he doesn't throw at least 25 touchdown passes. With Garcia breathing down his neck, I think Joey will get it together this season after three years in the league. (Contributed by: mrkkti)
