Strength of Schedule
Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the RB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Fantasy Analysis

Jacobs finally got his big pay day this offseason, signing a 4-year, $25 million contract (13 guaranteed). Without a doubt, he is one of the most powerful and punishing ball carriers around, but this running style often proves costly to his health. This being his 3rd year as a starter, Jacobs was only able to start 9 games in ’07, while improving to 13 games last year. Even with more starts under his belt, his total receptions actually DECREASED! Having 23 receptions in ’07, Jacobs only caught 6 passes last year. You will rarely see this 265-pounder on 3rd down, but you’d sure expect more than 6 receptions for the year! This is certainly worth noting for any of you that may be participating in a PPR (points per reception) league. If you can end up with Jacobs as your #2RB, regardless of league, I feel very strongly that you will win more than you will lose overall.

Rushing: 1145 Yards, 13 TD.
Receiving: 7 Receptions, 50 Yards, 0 TD.

Ryan Leaf and Peyton Manning came out of college together and, as the two hot QB prospects that year, compared notes from time to time about their experiences. After they were drafted, Manning told Leaf about how well the Colts organization treated ...

I'll be darned if I know since Plax left. They are hyping Domenik Hixon a bit but not much. Eli is way down on draft boards this year but I am curious to to take him as a QB2 and find his best hook-up. I'll watch through preseason but who do ...

The Giants have called the Browns about Braylon Edwards, who reportedly would welcome playing for the Giants if he was traded. Arizona still hasn't signed Anquan Boldin to a new deal, although he has two years remaining on his old one. Cards coach ...

There are plenty of obstacles to Plaxico Burress' returning to the Giants: his legal situation, a potential suspension by the NFL and the Giants' impatience with his off-field issues. As if those factors didn't make the situation complicated enough, ...

Average Draft Position (ADP) Tracker
Draft Analysis
Round 2, Pick 11
Positives
Jacobs is playing in his free agent year and is one of the only undisputed lead running backs left at this point.
Negatives
He plays for the freaking Giants. I hate the freaking Giants. That and he's likely to get injured at some point in the season.
Draft Strategy
I was surprised to see a back of Jacob's caliber available this late in the draft. There were several WR picks that I wouldn't have made and this left Jacobs open to me. (Contributed by: rdsalemi)

Round 3, Pick 7
Positives
Runs hard behind a great OL, and is the best goal line option on the team. Should increase his TDs because of that, and if he plays a full season, his barely-1000-yards should be improved upon as well. Oh, and he plays for the Giants. I love the Giants.
Negatives
The emergence of other running options on the Giants may impact his carries. Big (260) bruising back might get hurt again, as he missed 5 games last year.
Draft Strategy
Needed a second RB before the well ran dry. All this talk about a diminished role and the emergence of other backs does not have me worried. Do you recognize these numbers: 22,25,24,15? or how about these: 26,15,19,16? The first set are the carries that Jacobs had the last 4 games of the season (and the 15 was against the Patriots). The second set are Tomlinson's, same time frame. I think the fear of a true RBBC in NY is blown way out of proportion. Sure he might get less carries, but then again, he might not miss 5 games because of that! (Contributed by: Pat_Smith)

Round 4, Pick 2
Positives
Just the kind of RB that Tom Coughlin likes. he will get the bulk of the carries regardless what is said to the media. He is the best RB on the team averaging 5.0 yds/carry and capable of carrying the load. A RB2/3 with a RB1 upside. **Playing for a contract** His current contract is over after this year and he has said he will not negotiate the contract during this year. He is a man on a mission.
Negatives
running style (upright) opens him to Injury.
Draft Strategy
I took a major risk with Michael Turner in the 3rd round. Now I add a bruiser of a RB who could really produce in a contract year as a #2/3. (Contributed by: Mad_Puppy)
