Positives Roddy came on strong last season and I really like his prospects to take another step forward into the class of elite WRs. Negatives White doesn't have anyone on the other side of the line, so he will have to fight to get open and make plays. Plus he has a rookie QB throwing to him (unless the Falcons go with Redman or Harrington and in that case his situation is even worse) Draft Strategy I was looking to take my second WR here and was glad to get White as he has the potential to be in the top 15, maybe even top 10 at WR. Positives He is the WR1 in Atlanta. Had a great season last year...83/1202/6. Terrific route runner and great RAC ability. I'm projecting 75/1100/7 for 2008. Negatives QB situation in Atlanta. Could the rookie get thrown to the wolves? Draft Strategy Needed a WR2 and 24 WRs had already left the board. Positives Main target for the Falcons, who made huge strides last year. Ability to perform last year on a bad team with lots of offensive problems. Negatives Where do I start. Team could be just as bad as last year, and a rookie QB could be under center to boot. Running game could improve some, but that might help a little instead of hinder. Hard to say with this pick. Could be a bit of a reach here. Draft Strategy I hated this pick. I did not want to target just a receiver here but I had to as I drafted 3 RB and only 1 WR to this point. White was the 21st WR taken so far in this draft, more than I expected (This was pick 57). There was better value at RB at this point but I did make a desperation pick here as I only had Boldin to this point. Considered other WR similar in ADP to White but I think his upside is better.
