Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the RB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Gore benefits from a new offensive coordinator and Singletary as head coach. He is the most consistent player on the 49er offense. At 26, he still has fresh legs and will be asked to carry the workload. Look for him to increase his production in carries, yards, and touchdowns.
No current injury information exists for Frank Gore

Draft Analysis
Round 7, Pick 1
Positives At the time of my draft it was still up in the air as to whether or not he was the man in SF...as of 8/22 Barlow has been traded..so Mr. VP Frank Gore is the starter and in Round 7 getting a starting RB is gold...so he may fill my RB2 slot...but he is still a Niner...so you can never have too many RB's I guess. He is RB out of Da U...and he may enter the ranks of stud ex-Canes...like Portis, Edge, McGahee...maybe not...but he was the Niners leading rusher last year averaging 4.8 yards a carry....he could be a steal here. Negatives He is running behind one of the worst O-Lines in history......issues at QB means opposing D's can stack the box with 8 men and stuff the run. Draft Strategy Was looking to get more RB depth and saw that Gore was available and knew I had to grab him here or he would be gone within the next 24 picks. the fact that he is now a starter makes me feel good that I got him this late...if the news had come earlier he may have been a 3rd or 4th round pick. Round 7, Pick 1
Positives In his rookie season, Frank Gore took the #1 RB spot from Kevan Barlow by season's end. His punishing style of running makes him a top option in goal line situations. Negatives Gore suffered a shoulder injury last season and with Barlow traded to the Jets, Gore will need to prove that he can be carry the load as a #1 RB. Draft Strategy The RBs left at this stage of the draft are either backups, or RBBC guys that may or may not get a chance to shine. Luckily for me, Kevan Barlow was traded two weeks after the draft to the Jets turning this pick into quite the bargain. (Contributed by: Ron_Anish)
Round 7, Pick 5
Positives Strong hard nosed runner who has the hands to get a considerable number of catches. Norv Turner is the offensive coordinator, he always has a 1000yrd running back. Was the top rusher last year with limited carries. Negatives Injury history of his knees is worriesome. It has been two years since the knee injury though. Last year had a shoulder injury. offensive line is not exactly top notch. However the addition of Larry Allen should give a boost to his numbers. Draft Strategy Starting to get worried about available RB's. I expect with Norv Turner running the offense that Gore fits the role way better than Barlow. Norv historically is against RBBC. So I think I have an everyday starter in the 7th round. Looked pretty good late last year too.
Since the above comments Barlow was traded to the Jets! Yes I have a steal from the 7th round! (Contributed by: Mad_Puppy)
