Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the RB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Maroney broke a bone in his shoulder and was done after week 5 last season.
This season New England's back field is a muddled mess with RB's Fred Taylor, Sammy Morris, Kevin Faulk and BenJarvus Green-Ellis all vying for playing time. Due to the limited amount of action he sees in the passing game Maroney is not worth much more than a late round flier until the RB depth chart becomes settled.
Does any of you know what is the status of Sammy Morris? Bellicheck is a fantasy owners nightmare!!! why does he always have to be secretive about his injured players? It drives me nutZ!!!
Please if anyone has heard anything...let me know! ...

According to multiple reports, the Patriots are considering a trade that would land Raiders linebacker Derrick Burgess in exchange for a second- or third-round draft pick. The 6-foot-2, 260-pound Burgess, who turns 31 on Aug. 12, is a two-time Pro ...
Now Jason Taylor is also a free agent. Just a few months shy of his 35th birthday, he's unlikely to command a megabucks contract or a long-term one. He's coming off a down year with the Redskins (just 3 1/2 sacks after averaging slightly more than ...

Draft Analysis
Round 1, Pick 9
Positives No longer splitting carries so he should do really well with the revamped passing attack taking most of the attention. The Pats Oline is one of the better lines in the NFL and that would also help him improve his numbers. Negatives As with any Patriot you stand the question mark should the player get injured, with Belichick every injury is considered Day-to-Day which would leave you in a guessing game. His shoulder injury is the main concern here. Draft Strategy I decided to take maroney because of his upside which could vault him into the top 6 rbs by the end of the season I think. Round 1, Pick 11
Positives The best upside of the players on the board. The Pats offense will be dynamic and will provide an increase in scoring opportunities. Negatives Concerns about the health of his shoulder. Will he get all of the goal line opportunities? Draft Strategy Also considered Henry, McGahee and Jones-Drew here. Believe Maroney has the best upside because of his talent, opportunity and the most explosive offense of the four. (Contributed by: Tidbits)
Round 2, Pick 2
Positives I think the new NE offense is going to start clicking sooner rather than later. While Brady likes to spread the wealth, Maroney remains their only true RB threat. He'll have lots of space to work with, and he can run out alot of games. Negatives Well his shoulder is an issue, but i'm hoping that a slightly less than work-horse workload should prevent him from breaking down completely. Draft Strategy I likely would rather have had Henry, but not by much, and my guess that the elbow was going to go RB/WR was right on... so i'm still happy with my unconventional Steve Smith pick in the first.
