Clinton Portis now concedes that he could have participated in practice more often last season. "That's something that should've been handled differently -- on MY behalf," said Portis, who went on to add a string of excuses for his ...

What do you think of Cooley this year? I have always loved him as a player and fantasy player because he's as dependable as the sun coming up in the morning. He's never missed a game and barely any practice in his 5 year career. I love that he's ...

2008 Draft Central
Average Draft Position (ADP) Tracker
Draft Analysis
Round 2, Pick 11
Positives
Prior to 2007, was a top 5 fantasy back two years running. LJ is among the league leaders in touches per game, a big advantage in this format. Even after posting an abysmal 4 TDs in 2007, his 3-year average remains a stellar 15 a season.
Negatives
Kansas City rates to be awful this season. Herm Edwards is among the most fantasy unfriendly coaches in football. The offensive line in KC used to be the best in the league, but now is in major rebuilding mode.
Draft Strategy
There's not much strategy here. This is an RB-friendly format and LJ has an ADP nearly a full round higher than this. I'm not a particularly large fan of LJ, but he's clearly the best risk here. (Contributed by: Agenda42)

Round 2, Pick 3
Positives
Another workhorse RB. LJ held out of training camp last year. He was just hitting his stride (Back to back 100 yd/ 1 td games in weeks 6 & 7 and then after a bye, had @ 100 total yds and scored 2 TD's before breaking his foot vs Green Bay in week 9) last year when his season ended due to injury. He will be the centerpiece of the offense.
Negatives
Injury concerns. Conservative offense. Brodie Croyle. Herm Edwards.
Draft Strategy
LJ has uber-stud potential. I could not pass him up in a Shark League. There are plenty of possession receivers to go around, but feature backs like Johnson are rare, indeed. (Contributed by: bigtexdog)
