Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the QB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Because they are shorthanded at defensive back, the Texans are bringing in veteran cornerbacks Deltha O'Neal, Mike McKenzie and Jason Webster for tryouts Thursday. With Dunta Robinson missing camp because of a contract dispute and Jacques Reeves and ...

Steve Slaton's 2008 season wasn't just nice. It was very nice. So nice that it is understandable to look at his production and project greatness for the Texans' second-year tailback. Slaton, who led the AFC in yards from scrimmage as a rookie, ...
If the Texans are unable to re-sign cornerback Dunta Robinson, it will change their philosophy entering the draft. Rather than pursuing a defensive end who can provide a pass rush opposite Mario Williams with their first-round pick, general manager ...

Draft Analysis
Round 8, Pick 9
Positives When he was in the game with Andre Johnson, Schaub was dynomite. He has been accurate so far in the preseason and has the ability to find the open receiver. Negatives Durability? Andre Johnson's health? Draft Strategy This was sort of a combo homer pick/QB-WR hookup experiment. I needed a QB and it was between McNabb, Schaub and Bulger. Bulger may have been the safer choice, but I'm not really going for safe in this league this season. This pick all but guarantees a QB handcuff later in the draft as well. Round 9, Pick 2
Positives When he and Andre Johnson were both on the field, the passing game was like hot butter on breakfast toast. The Texans were forced to pass the ball a lot in 2007, and Schaub responded. He has established himself as the starter, and more importantly, in early preseason games without Johnson, he is spreading the ball around, proving that he can play without him if necessary. I really like Schaub's upside potential from round 9 in the draft. Negatives Both he and Andre Johnson missed significant amounts of time last season. Anyone capable of running the ball on the roster? Last season the Texans could not run, they will need a complimentary running game for the passing game to have success. Draft Strategy This is a little ahead of his ADP, but drafting near the corner you sometimes have to reach down a bit for the player that you want. I'm passing on the likes of Delhomme, Campbell, and Rodgers to grab Schaub here. I like his potential upside better than those guys. My strategy coming into the draft was to draft 2 or 3 quarterbacks in rounds 8, 9, and/or 10 based on how the other teams are drafting, so far all going according to plan. If I can get 3 NFL starters at this "fantasy level", one should step up and become a very good starter for me. (Contributed by: doug_coutts)
Round 10, Pick 2
Positives 66.4% completion percentage last year! When A. Johnson is on the field the TD's come a plenty. The Houston Defense make it necessary to throw the ball meanning more ops for Schaub. Accurate passer who makes good decisions. With a nice deep ball. Negatives Injuries. Schaub is comming back from a shoulder injury (to his non throwing shoulder). A. Johnson is also returning from a knee injury. Durability is the major concern here. Draft Strategy After second guessing my pick of Bulger right after making It. I went for a risky but potentially top 6 QB in Schaub. the A. Johnson hookup for a whole season is very promising. (Contributed by: Mad_Puppy)
