2008 Draft Central
Average Draft Position (ADP) Tracker
Draft Analysis
Round 11, Pick 3
Positives
Davis can be a monster TE in the right situation. He has the ability to post huge weeks such as weeks 8-9 last season when he averaged seven catches for 74 yards. Each year he learns more about the position and will only improve with experience.
Negatives
While Davis can dominate, he can also struggle from time to time. In five games last season, he caught two or fewer passes not including the two games he missed. This inconsistency is his big downside and with Mike Martz's offense, of which the TE is not a prominent figure, Davis may struggle in adapting to his newest role.
Draft Strategy
Having Cooley as my starter, Davis is a solid backup who could finally realize his potential for a breakout season. If not, he's a reserve and not a costly one in round 11. (Contributed by: Ron_Anish)
