Strength of Schedule
Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the RB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Fantasy Analysis

One of the very few remaining RB's in the NFL to not have to share too much of the workload with other backs, Portis always seems a safe pick for fantasy owners. After a hot start last year (7 scores in first 9 games), nagging injuries slowed his performance, scoring only twice in the final 7 performances. Another birthday candle added to the cake included with a deteriorating offensive line could very well see decreased statistics for Portis in '09. He'll be right in the range of a low #1 and very good #2RB for your fantasy roster.

Rushing: 1250 Yards, 9 TD.
Receiving: 35 Receptions, 260 Yards, 1 TD.

2008 Draft Central
Average Draft Position (ADP) Tracker
Draft Analysis
Round 1, Pick 6
Positives
Consistency. Barring injury, he is a sure top 10 RB. You first round pick won't win you the championship, but it can sure lose it for you. Portis is a very safe pick to me. I am confident he and his backup will secure a top 5 scoring for my RB positon.
Negatives
New coachin staff, there is a unknow factor how he will be utilized.
Draft Strategy
At pick 6, I am debating between him and Randy Moss. With the 1 point every 5 rush scoring system. RB is top priority. (Contributed by: Java)

Round 1, Pick 9
Positives
I think I got a real bargain getting Portis at 1.09. He was the 3rd best RB and 5th best overall in Fantasy points in this scoring system last year.
Negatives
None that I can think of.
Draft Strategy
Definitely taking a RB in the 1st round, Portis at 1.09 was a no brainer. (Contributed by: Mr_Prat)
