Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the WR position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Owens provides an upgrade at the WR position, and will allow Lee Evans more room to operate in the offense. He was signed to one year deal and performs better when something is on the line. He did have six games last season with single digit fantasy scoring and drops more passes than he used to. With possible protection issues for Trent Edwards, Owens should be looked as more as WR #2 with the potential to be #1 WR.
we just picked up your old WR coach and i was wondering what you guys thought of him.
i don't know too much about him and wasn't impressed about hearing him named to the position.
any input you have would be good.
thanks....
ESPN reported that one of the candidates that the Bills might be interested in interviewing is the coach from Montreal of the CFL. How crazy would it be if they hired a CFL coach!?! I think that'd be the kiss of death and the Bills would be gone ...
Lurking the different threads and stumbled upon this one. Saw we hadn 't posted since 7/31....come on guys a lot is happening in Buffalo this year!
Prediction: Maybin and Schobel meet at Brady and knock him out for the year in the first quarter....
Any new news on Marshawn Lynch? I heard on espn earlier that it was looking like gis suspension was going to be reduced to a 1 game......

Round 2, Pick 11
Positives What a long, strange trip it's been for Owens in the off-season. He went from a free agent, back to a 49er, to a Raven, and finally an Eagle. With Owens setting up shop in the city of brotherly love, Eagles fans will definitely appreciate the numbers he posts. Over the past four seasons, Owens has averaged over 90 catches, over 1,300 yards receiving and 12 TDs. I guess Christmas came early this year for Donovan McNabb. Expect Owens numbers to surpass the 80-1,102, 9 TDs from last year which were his lowest numbers since '99. Negatives As happy as the Philly fans will be to see #81 on the field, TO will also hear about his 3-catch, 30-yard performances more than he could ever have imagined. If Owens can keep his head on straight during the rough stretches and his relationship with McNabb stays intact, TO should have a productive and successful season. If not, it could get real ugly. Draft Strategy With the run on RBs, I knew I was going in a different direction. The only question was would it be the WR path or the QB path. Since I generally don't like to take QBs very high, I went with the best WR available in Owens. Despite the Eagles tendency to run early and often, I believe Owens will fit quite nicely with the offense and the McNabb/Owens duo will become one of the most formidable hookups in the NFL. Who knows, I may go after Mr. McNabb in the next round and live or die with the Green this year. (Contributed by: Ron_Anish)
Round 2, Pick 11
Positives Last 4 years avg. 90+ recpt.; 1,300+ yd; 12TD's. Easily fits in fringe between first and second tier WR's. Could re-establish in top tier. Negatives 30+ years old, has he "lost a step"?, has to adapt to new QB and new team. Phil. hasn't thrown deep in a while, but they haven't had the receivers to do so either. Will other Phil WR's be able to keep double coverage off of him. Draft Strategy A few RB's a could have drafted here. Prefer to take my choice of WR, and whomever isn't taken at turn at RB, instead of my choice of RB and WR left after Aussie Cowboy picks.
--note added after picks 2.12 and 3.01
Aussie Cowboy sure did mess up my strategy. Thought he would go RB/WR. Didn't really expect RB/RB combo. This will require revision to conventional draft strategy. Good think I'm not mentally prelocked into positions to take in any given round. (Contributed by: Cantebury)
Round 2, Pick 9
Positives 370 catches and 51 touchdowns over the last years. Owens will provide McNabb and the Eagles with a much needed go-to guy. Reid likes to mix it up and throw the ball downfield and he will make sure to utilise T.O's size and speed.
After a strange offseason with many stops T.O has landed exactly were he wanted. Hopefully that will keep him focused on doing his job. Negatives I'm not that concerned about T.O learning a new system in Philly, but you'll have to list it as a negative I guess. Other than that T.O's odd personality is probably the worst headache for any coach and/or FF-player. 5 minutes after arriving to his first camp Owens was complagning publicly about having to wear shorts instead of thights. Draft Strategy I'm a fond believer of drafting RB's early. And in this league, without trades, and drafting in August, it will be even more important. That said i'm not about to be a slave under the Stud Running Back Theory. When the whole league subscribe to the same drafting handbook you need to change gears. By not taking a back just to take a back, I got to choose one from the top group of WR's instead. Owens might very well win a game for me by himself. I'm not sure I could say the same about Tiki or Bennett (even though Bennett was very tempting). The stud RB theory had to give way for a little VBD:ing. How the picks fall in rest of the draft will dictate if i stay with that concept.
