Draft Analysis
Round 2, Pick 4
Positives He's a RB that plays all downs, being a back that can run & catch the ball with equal ability. On a side note he's always been one of my favorites & seems to find his way onto one of my teams each year. Negatives With his history of fumbling & a new coach I wonder if that will effect his playing time at all. Also he could get to the endzone alittle more often. Draft Strategy I was going RB again & it was close but Tiki was the next highest on my board (I also considered Dillon & Henry) (Contributed by: nicos28)
Round 2, Pick 4
Positives One must stick to the best available Running Back as the ONLY strategy that is absolute. That Back in this case was Tiki. Tiki is the main runner on an NFC East team that goes up against a number of weaker run stopping defenses. Tiki ran for 1200+ yards last year and caught the ball for over 450 yards. That's a solid performer in my book. His new coach in Tom Coughlin might be considered both a pro and con in Tiki's case. Negatives Tiki's got a few cons going for him this year. First, he didn't score all that much last year. That's not good. His 3 TD total is not the kind of production you're looking for from a #2 back. But are you really the type that expects only 3 from his this year. I doubt it. For those Ron Dayne fans that expect a comeback this year. Forget about it. Fat, slow, and stupid is no way to go through life my friend. And certainly no way to make a steady living in the NFL. Draft Strategy Nothing fancy here. Go with the best Running Back on the board in round two. There were other decent players still on the board here, including all of the top WR's and QB's. So, others might dispute Tiki at this spot but I expect better TD production than last year warranting a solid #2 pick. For those that think taking a WR, no matter how good they are in the second round makes sense, your just plain wrong. RBs are much more consistent scores and in this scoring system warrant a higher draft pick. (Contributed by: Rob_Schare)
Round 2, Pick 6
Positives He has been consistent upper 2nd RB in the past 2 years and he is only 28 years old. He got lots of touches and good reception skill. Overall I feel he is a much safer pick at the cost second round pick. Negatives He got fumbling issues. Also his touchdown number is a bit concern. Otherwise, he might be among the top RBs. Draft Strategy By observing the drafts happened before us, I tried to keep an open mind in this draft. I usually took 2 RBs with my first 2 picks. I might consider Harrison at this pick as well, but he was long gone. When the time comes to my pick, my choices are Barlow, Barbar and Domanick Davis. The other 2 has the same bye week as my top pick, which make my decision much easier. (Contributed by: Java)
