Strength of Schedule
Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the RB position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Fantasy Analysis

Played with less burst and shiftiness last season than fantasy owners have grown accustomed, due to what has been described as an excruciating toe injury. There's that, the infamous shoulder injury which sidelined him in the playoffs before that, and the fact that he's now 30. Oh, and San Diego wants to continue to keep his backup plenty involved. Nevertheless, if he's even 90% healthy you've got to consider him in the first round of your fantasy draft. This is one of the greatest RBs ever to play that we're talking about; he could very well post MVP-caliber numbers this year and next, for all we know.

Rushing: 1180 Yards, 12 TD.
Receiving: 50 Receptions, 450 Yards, 3 TD.

San Diego Chargers Team Talk
Yeah my chargers are 9-3 and doing great and have a good chance at the playoffs again this year. However I still hate Norv. I think he's a worthless pile of dog @#$@. I must say I would love to watch San Diego go and win out and win the ...

Was not even paying attention but saw a picture on ESPN and checked it out. The chargers are only 1 game out from 1st place now in that AFC West. Merriman is looking healthy, Rivers to VJAX has been amazing. Any way they can somehow pick up a run ...

FIRE NORV TURNER!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE THAT MAN. He has been a thorn in SD's side since the day he walked into San Diego. I've been complaining for the past 3+ seasons with him and want him out!!! Just wanted to vent and I just want that sorry ...

Physical resemblance aside, does this guy not remind you of Marion Barber in his running style?

2004 Draft Central
Average Draft Position (ADP) Tracker
Draft Analysis
Round 1, Pick 2
Positives
The main reason why Tomlinson will be a top 2 pick in the majority of the drafts is not only because he's averaged over 1,650 rushing yards over the past two years, but because of his receiving numbers. He has gone from 59 catches for 367 yards in his rookie campaign in 2001, to 79 catches for 489 yards in '02, to 100 catches for 725 yards last season. Add those numbers to his average of 16 TDs over the past two seasons and you got yourself a stud RB.
Negatives
Tomlinson suffered a minor shoulder injury lifting weights in March, but the injury is not considered serious. San Diego's acquisition of Philip Rivers will give Drew Brees a strong push in preseason. Neither QB will scare defenses enough to shift the focus from LT, but LT owners should hope that if Rivers wins the job, he will look for LT in the passing game as often as Brees and Flutie did last season.
Draft Strategy
Ah, the beauty of the #2 pick. When you're guaranteed either Tomlinson or Priest Holmes (who I would have taken if LT went #1), you have got to feel good about your draft. Tomlinson may have his off weeks from time to time, but he'll be worth the high selection when the season ends. Enjoy LT if you're lucky enough to get him. I know I will. Next up is seeing what is left at #23. BPA (best player available) will probably be my approach. (Contributed by: Ron_Anish)

Round 1, Pick 2
Positives
Catches ball well, only running option on team. Should be good for 300 carries, 80+ catches, 2200 combined yards. Carries, receptions, yards and TD's should be in top 5 of all players. Fantasy points should be top 3, realistic opportunity to lead league.
Negatives
Only offensive option on his team, probable new QB, definitly new WR1. Defenses will be able to key on him. Will see the endzone no more than last season -- 17 total. Consistency not a strong suit--last season averaged 30.3 fantasy points per game, high of 51, low of 8.
Draft Strategy
Strategy was easy in the 2 spot. Pick whomever Aussie cowboy left behind, either Holmes or Tomlinson. Preferred Tomlinson - thanks A/C - but would have been happy with Holmes. (Contributed by: Cantebury)

Round 1, Pick 2
Positives
This guy is a workhorse! He carries the ball, catches passes and scores touchdowns. What is there not to like?
Negatives
Well, one concern about LT2 is that he plays for San Diego. There is not much else going on with that team, but that hasn't stopped him in the past. He has taken a beating over the last few years and that is a concern as well that he may begin to break down.
Draft Strategy
This was a no-brainer, I had Tomlinson ranked #1 so I was glad to have him as the foundation for my roster in the Pacific league. By the time I pick again, there won't be much left in the way of RBs so hopefully I can find something servicable for RB2. (Contributed by: Greg_Allen)
