Strength of schedule is calculated from the opponents projected fantasy points allowed for the WR position. The best rating is +16 which gives the player the advantage against the defense and indicates an easy opponent, the worst rating is -16 which gives the defense the advantage and indicates a tough opponent.
Last year at this time the writing was on the wall for a disappointing season: after signing a lucrative long-term deal, Javon sustained serious injuries that resulted from an off-the-field incident and appeared a shell of his former self once he rejoined the team. His injury status remains in question, and he's no lock to duplicate even the paltry receiving numbers he managed in '08.
Ya, they'll probably suck again this year, but wth? ? ? good, bad, or indifferent, they're still the Oakland FREAKING Raiders! any other "all weather" fanz, as opposed to the "fair weather" variety? ? ?...
How do you think he impacts the offense and the development of Russell?
Cable has already mentioned that the offensive scheme will not be revamped/replaced but rather improved upon. That worries me a little that we might not change the OL much ...
Did anyone else notice that Crabtree had more receptions in his first game than Heyward-Bey has had all season! Ha, Ha! Good draft again for the Raiders and Al Davis.(Note: H-B does have the Jamarcus handicap)...
YEP, were kinda stinkin it up,not a historian, but a fan since childhood, ( mid 70s) ohh how i miss those days and the phrase "god damn raiders"
i'm not the most knowledgable, but i do try to reasearch before answering, and make most ...
ALAMEDA, Calif. -- The Oakland Raiders and star cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha failed to agree on a long-term contract before Tuesday's deadline for franchised players.
The Raiders placed the exclusive franchise tag on Asomugha in February, which ...

Draft Analysis
Round 5, Pick 2
Positives Made move towards end of last season as WR1 on Green Bay. Scored 34% of his points in last 4 games (25% of season). Projecting that pace out and he finishes in top 15 receivers. I believe raport was established with Favre last year and that he can continue improving. WR1 has done very well in past with Favre, no matter who it is. Negatives Young, may not truly be WR1 in this offense this year. Draft Strategy I probably suprised most by picking WR3 before I get RB2. Again, everyone left is a potential RBCC - (so are some already drafted). Just can't draft someone earlier than I feel they should just to fill a roster spot. (Contributed by: Cantebury)
Round 7, Pick 5
Positives I'm convinced that Walker will prove himself to be the #1 WR for the Pack this year. With Favre throwing BBs at him, I look for a breakout year from Javon. If I am right, he'll probably be more than just a bye week fill in on this team. Negatives Consistency has been a problem for him in the past. Draft Strategy Definitely covered bye weeks for WRs. Won't have to worry about the position for a while. (Contributed by: Sentient_Beings)
Round 7, Pick 1
Positives Showed serious skills last season. With Driver and Ferguson his only competition at WR Walker is a definite candidate to be the Sterling Sharpe of 2004. A downfield threat that can be a force in the Red Zone. With a couple of questions on defense it's possible that there may be a few more passes in the air this season. Negatives In a situation that will see plenty of ball-sharing. Also seemed to suffer from nagging injuries which could be a sign of things to come. Draft Strategy At this point everyone is looking for depth. PKs and DFs are not ready to be pulled from the can and Walker represents one of the better up-side picks at this point. Though you may be looking at some semi-proven veterans I'm looking at upside and with a solid offense in GB Walker is a solid bet to reproduce last year's numbers at the minimum.
