2005 Draft Central
Average Draft Position (ADP) Tracker
Draft Analysis
Round 1, Pick 2
Positives
Healthy at this point in time and motivated in a "contract year". Catches a fairly large amount of passes and racks up good yardage. Not a TD machine last year, but I hope for a few more this year with everyone focusing on Manning.
Negatives
Has been hurt a few times. Age is creeping up. Plays on the same offense with Peyton Manning (not so good for rushing TD's)
Draft Strategy
#1 was almost destined to be Tomlinson although I did have him first on my predraft just in case. #2 has a lot of good options available but no clear cut obvious selection: Priest Holmes was better on a "full season" basis, but not sure that he will play a full season. Alexander ranked about the same. Tiki about the same. Overall it came down to a gut feel that Edge will pick up a few more TD's this year and become the #2 RB stat wise. (Contributed by: Budman)

Round 1, Pick 4
Positives
Solid, premiere RB. High powered offense. Had a good season last year, and Peyton can't keep up the pace he had, so they'll have to run more.
Negatives
Some concern over whether the offense can be where it was last year, but I will be happy if they come anywhere close.
Draft Strategy
At 1.04, I knew I was going to have a tough choice. As you can see, DD went right after my pick. I was hoping to get a shot at the healthy Priest, but he went 1.03. I thought James was the best of the set of DD and Deuce, so had to pull the trigger. Home James! Lead the way... (Contributed by: Ed_Leduke)

Amish, those are the types of ideas I was looking for. One thing I like about ...
#1 pick and how many times they were the best in the league
Value Based Drafting, any good offseason articles?

Don't be a square and pass up L.J at #3
